Where's the best place to buy a Quinny Buzz?? Online or in-store?

Just wondered if anyone else had experience of ordering a Quinny Buzz travel system online? There seem to be some good deals out there but I'm a bit nervous about buying from online stores... Am I best to go somewhere like Babies r Us? We've looked in the local Pram Stores and the travel systems are much more expensive there...

Any advice welcome!

i bought a new Buzz on Ebay, can't remember the name of the seller but they had a few on every day, and had tons of feedback so I felt okay about it. It was about £100 cheaper than getting one in Mothercare. No problems with ordering and delivery.

I guess the advantage of buying at a store is that you can take it back more easily if there's a problem, though in theory I think the manufacturer has responsibility for faults so you can contact them direct - haven't had to so not 100% on how this works.

If you do go the ebay route it's worth having a look at completed sales to see how much they usually go for from that seller and bid accordingly, as sometimes exactly the same item costs quite a bit more one day than it does the next iyswim, because of the normal variation in bid prices. Good luck!

I got my Quinny Zapp from Kiddicare (online). It was about £179 including a carseat, very good compared to other places. We're very pleased with it.

Thanks for the advice. It was actually Kiddicare that we had looked at, so it's good to know that you've had a good experience Ettenna!

FirstatForty - not had a look on Ebay yet but I'll have a look now.

Yes Kiddicare certainly seem very reliable with ordering and delivery and their prices are usually competitive, I've ordered loads of stuff from them before.

Don't know about their aftersales care on prams but there are probably some threads on here if you do a search.

One online shop to avoid is TwoLeftFeet though apparently, again if you do a search you will see lots of bad feedback for them.

Thanks for that FirstatForty - it's good to hear recommendations or otherwise! There seem to have been loads of negative postings about TwoLeftFeet - I'll be avoiding them.

Do Boots still have their online offer of quinney buzz for £75? It was a few weeks ago now, but worth looking at their site. You'll get loads or club card points too.

LS...Think that was the quinny zapp, much cheaper model.

Babylovesmuffins · 28/05/2007 17:22

LS - just had a look but they don't seem to have an offer on any longer. I didn't realise that you could buy "big" stuff like that from Boots online, so that's useful to know!

I got mine from The Glasgow Pram Centre online and they were fab.....that was the cheapest we found at the time but may not be now!

I bought one last week from kiddicare, having checked the whole of the internet I found kiddicare to be the cheapest (well ebay was around £10 cheaper but I wanted to buy from the uk where it is slightly easier to return and felt kiddicare was more reputable iykwim)

We have bought from them before and never had any problems. The pram arrived a day later but the car seat was out of stock but due in today....happy customer at this end atm..
