Ok so i know this is gonna sound crazy.
Im 22w, I started getting heartburn about a week ago and since then the roof and sides of my mouth along with my tongue all feel like they're burnt! Eat hot food it stings, cold food it stings, sweet food it stings, salty....you get the picture lol.
Now - I have a geographic tongue anyways so always had a fairly sensitive tongue BUT its stepped up a notch or 5.
Along with that at night im getting such a dry mouth that i wake up which what feels like a massive ball of phlegm/lump (tmi sorry) in the back of my throat. I cant shift it and it seems to make me salivate so much more! As a result its almost like its messing with my gag reflex so i often then vomit which of course means more stomach acid to irritate my tongue/mouth.
Please tell me I'm not crazy and that someone else is/Has experienced this horrible feature of pregnancy lol!!!!

I have also had geographic tongue and found that it returned with pregnancy and is now triggered by more foods than before, especially salt/citrus, lemon is now on my list to avoid. Dry mouth at night/phlegm could be because your breathing though your mouth when sleeping, I had that when my hayfever was giving me a blocked nose. Have you tried a bit of Gaviscon before bed for the acid?

I've pretty much tried everything lol. It's driving me insane....gaviscon made it worse simply cause...it made me gag and of course be sick lol....cue the acid. It honestly a vicious circle lol
