How many weeks pregnant are you? I am normally about a size 10/12 and I bought one when I was about 24 weeks pregnant. I tried the m/l on and it was massive so I went for the s/m. I'm now 27 weeks pregnant and its still the right size but not sure if it will be too small when I get bigger.

I am about 10 weeks, just starting to have trouble doing up my jeans and work trousers. Might get a couple of each size, can you return things?

For size 12, I'd definitely go for the S/M. Was given a M/L by a friend for my birthday but it was too big until the very last stages of pg, whilst the S/M I bought afterwards was great throughout and perfectly able to cope with the extremities of the last few weeks

I got one from New Look- obviously their sizes might my slightly different but a S/M was plenty. In fact if I wear it all day it even gets a bit big. Go with the S/M and if later on it gets too small then get a bigger one!

What are bump bands?

Princesspowersparkle · 28/05/2007 23:08

They look like boob tubes that you put over the tops of your trousers that you can't do up anymore and they help keep em up! Perfect for when you're not really in maternity clothes yet but your normal ones are getting snug. I still use mine now (at 32 weeks) as I find by the end of the day a couple of pairs of my maternity trousers get quite loose where they stretch throughout the day. You wear your tops over them and they look like you are wearing a layered top (them being the bottom layer!)
I hope that gives you an idea thelttleelf- not very good at explanations!

Ooh they sound fabby! Wonder if i could just use them to hold my trousers up after a big meal.....lets face it, we all end up undoing a button or two

Hi there - I'm a size 12 and I got the M/L size bump band from Top Shop. Agree with others - it was huge in early pregnancy - and even though I'm now 28 weeks its still pretty roomy.

I'd got for the S/M. You could always get a larger one towards the end of your pregnancy - they don't cost much!

I've got one in black and one in white from TopShop. I'm a 14 ish and I got a M/L as I'd rather it be bigger than smaller on me during pregnancy and the hot summer days etc.

midnightexpress · 29/05/2007 17:24

flipflopper, I've got a black one and a white (unused) one in the smaller size, which you're welcome to for postage (I've finished with them). CAT me with a postal address if you want them.

I got a M/L one from Topshop last weekend. I'm a size 10 in topshop clothes but this one fitted ok, though slightly loose but I'm only 14 weeks pregnant. I'd rather it was roomy than restrictive and it doesn't fall down.

Ahh, should have known it was tempting fate talking about maternity wear!
Had some bleeding on monday, scan tues was inconclusive, today more bleeding. Certain I am miscarrying, I am so

Thanks for your kind replies.
