I'm only 5+6 but for the last week I e been extremely sick and nauseous. I can't keep anything down. Yesterday I was sick about 10-15 times.

I can't turn over in bed smells make me sick and even getting In the bath is a struggle. I went to the doctors today and she told me to eat salty food and then see my midwife when I'm 8 weeks.

I have been asleep for around 7 hours today because if im not sleeping im just nauseous. I really just needed a moan.

@ShowerTheHorse I’m so sorry you’re feeling so rotten and you’re not getting any support. Do they know how much you’re vomiting? Maybe see if you can get in to see a different doctor. Are you managing to keep fluids down? I hope you get sorted soon and the sickness eases up for you so you can enjoy pregnancy 💐💐

That's rubbish! Both how you're feeling and how you're being treated! I'd try to contact the GP again and be very specific about your symptoms - give figures on how often you're vomiting and how long you're sleeping. Also outline the impact this is having on your life/ functioning. About 80% of women experience NVP (nausea and vomiting in pregnancy), but I think what you have sounds more like hyperemesis, which is far rarer. Sadly, some people seem to think that because being sick is so common you should just get on with it! There is medication available and it is safe! I think there is a long-running thread on here which people have found helpful! Commiserations - my NVP isn't nearly as bad, but is looking like it will be with me until term...

I totally sympathise as I have hyperemesis in my pregnancies. Please phone the Pregnancy Sickness Support line (open mon-fri about 9.30-4 I think). They are fantastically knowledgable and great advocates for women suffering like you are. It does not have to be this bad; there are many different medications you can safely have and hospital treatment if/when needed. They have a list of hyperemesis friendly doctors so you might find one in your area, or if not they can arm you with information to take to your GP. I’m so sorry your GP didn’t help today but please please persevere (maybe with a different doctor). I have met some appalling ones, like you did today. But also some amazing ones who have helped so so much. Best wishes. Flowers

I am so sorry your feeling like this @ShowerTheHorse I am 6+5 and have been very sick for a week now, hadn’t ate in 4 days and was bed bound. No gingerbut, crackers or sipping water was doing anything. I rang my doctor and she prescribed me Cyclizine, since taking them I’ve been able to eat and get up and about. Ask your doctor for them I really would recommend them. It’s so so horrible and you have all my sympathy. Hopefully it doesn’t last too long. Also I’ve been wearing sea bands and I think those in combination with the tablets are helping! Still feeling very rough at times but I’m managing. Flowers

If you arent managing to keep anything down. Did the dr check your wee, dehydration levels etc and weigh you??

I am currently suffering with HG myself so really feel for you.

Keep on at GP you can get tablets to help.

Definitely go back to the doctor and be as pushy as you need to. Morning sickness is normal, vomiting 10+times a day and struggling to keep anything down is not.

If you don't get on top of it now it becomes harder and harder until hospital admission is the only option.

I've had 3 hyperemesis pregnancies and it is awful, but it's more awful when your just left to deal with it alone.

There are things they can do to help you and I'd insist on seeing a different doctor until you find one willing to help.
