Pregnant with copper coil?

Hi,

I have had the copper coil for over 5 years. I have always had a 28 day cycle apart from last month when I was 3 days late and now this month where I am 8 days late.

Last month I had a restricted diet and different routine so put it down to that. This month I can't figure out why it is so late. I have taken 3 tests including one today which have all come back as negative. The only thing I can think is that my iron levels may be down and I have read online that anemia can cause delayed or missed periods.

(TMI) I have had a bit of pink discharge yesterday and today but still no AF. Also I only dtd once last month so think it is very unlikely!

Lastly I went to the GP for something else and mentioned that I was a few days over. She was not fazed and said it was very unlikely to be a pregnancy and to test in 2 weeks if AF still doesnt turn up. But the not knowing is making me worried!

Does anyone think it is actually possible that I may be pregnant?

Thank you for getting through this!

It's always possible unless you're abstinent, but based on what you've said I doubt you are

Bumping this thread as I had asked it to be moved from "conception" to "pregnancy"!

So you think you'd be over 5 weeks? You'd have a positive test... delayed periods are caused by delayed ovulation. Delayed ovulation can be cause by a HUGE number of things and is not abnormal - even if you are normally very regular. Unless you track ovulation there is actually no way to know when you're 'due' as the number of days between ovulation and the start of af is generally the same.

Thanks for the replies. I see what you mean about delayed ovulation.

I have had a small amount of bleeding yesterday and today which may be the start of AF although its very light.
