Is anyone else really anxious about losing baby?

I've had a early 7 week scan and seen a heart beat.

Have all the symptoms on and off.

Yet I'm on a few of the threads and people have lost baby at 10 weeks or earlier.

I know you can't help it and I've been taking my vitamins and eating relatively healthy where I can stomach it, I am a size 16/18 which I know isn't ideal.

😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

I think everybody is at some level. I’m 24+5 with my first and still worry (despite feeling movements etc) that I will lose baby and am nervous every time I wipe after a wee that there will be blood.

Maybe it is just the brains way of preparing us for a lifetime of worry with children!

I was nervous throughout my pregnancy and would dread my scans for fear of there not being a heart beat anymore. I would say it gets easier but for me it doesn’t. Once I could feel baby move I then became worried every time I hadn’t felt a kick even in the early days when you don’t count them or have a pattern. If you have a good community midwife and supportive friends and family then I would get as much support from them as possible. Write a list of any questions you want to ask for your appointments. So many people say how they loved being pregnant and really miss it when the baby is born but for me it was such a relief to not have to worry anymore. If at any point you are concerned just always speak to a midwife or your gp. It is always better to be safe than sorry and don’t get put off if one or two are dismissive of things. Just go with your gut and you will know what to do. Good luck with your pregnancy and fingers crossed everything goes well for you and babyFlowers

Thanks all, I think I'm being ridiculous!

I agree the worry for years to come!!

I wish they did more scans early on.... or we was rich and could have one every week 😩

Not that it would help as if it's going to happen you can't help it!

The relief at my 7 week scan of seeing the little heart beat is unreal.

I absolutely second @charley39 - you could literally be me!! I worried like mad all through pregnancy after previous miscarriages and DD was absolutely fine.

If it's any consolation I had scans every 4 weeks for the 1st trimester and I worried every time. It didn't really help iykwim - helped for the minute I was at scan, then straight back to worrying. Literally the same day!

If you feel anxiety is getting the better of you please talk to your midwife. Really wish I'd done this earlier on in my pregnancy.

The odds are on your side - remember that! Every day that passes the odds get better!

Hey! I'm 11+2 and feel EXACTLY the same! Can't seem to stop worrying! I've also saw a heartbeat (at 9 weeks) and same ish size as youSmile I think we'll just have to try to think positive!

I was terrified right up until week 12... I had an early scan at week 6 and week 8 due to bleeding...
I'm a size 20/22 and was always told I could have children .... I think it's cos we can't feel anything or see anything so it doesn't feel real...I'm at week 16 now and still doesn't feel real lol maybe when I feel movement it will lol
