Has anyone as had it while pregnant?

I had to get it tonight after being exposed to a work colleague with shingles and as I have never had chicken pox and after they tested my blood I am not immune to it.

I know it's a precaution they are taking but my back hurts after they injected in my back.

The midwife/nurse said there is no risk to the baby but wondered if anyone had any symptoms after it

Why did they inject it into your back?! What part of your back?

It's my lower back. The midwife said as it's a big vaccine. I was surprised when she said it.

I haven't had the chicken pox vaccine, but the whooping cough vaccine made me feel like someone had punched me in the arm! It hurts for days and I could barely move... it's normal for that vaccine so perhaps it's normal for this too? If you're worried I'd call your doctor and ask them if they except this reaction to occur as some vaccines do make you ache for a while afterwards x

Ok I just read about the chicken pox vaccine and you get it subcutaneously.

In other words - in your butt.

I didn’t think it could go into your back, there’s so much damage that could be done.
