Hi everyone.
Quick recap:
I've had 4 miscarriages in the past last one getting the furthest ending @8weeks however was a partial molar pregnancy because if this I was then going for X amount of blood test to discover what is making me misscarry. I've been told I tested positive for blood clotting and have now put me on 20g dose of Clexane each day as I found out Monday I am expecting again. I've been told I will need to do this until I'm 24weeks. I am also O- blood which also means I could suffer from antibodies disease(RHS). Has anyone been through the same and think these injections will work or anyone have any advice to put my mind at ease. Thanks xx

Hi lass.

I'm O Neg and second baby and on clexane 80mg daily.

Are you on 75mg Asprin too?

If partner is O+ then you will need the injections but if he's O- then you won't or may not depending on your areas policy.

Injections for me started on Thursday nd will continue til 6 weeks post partum - I'm 35 weeks now so a few more weeks of ouchie lol

I've had clexane for first pregnancy and surgeries before so I'm used to them - how are you finding them yourself?

Bit of a different circumstance but i am prone to premature labour so have been on clexane and also progesterone i feel they did help me get further along

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me.
I'm finding them ok just a tad annoying to have to do.them every day but it's for a very good reason which makes it a lot easier.
Not sure about my partners blood as he has not been tested yet but I'm pretty sure he's positive. I'm just hoping that these will work for me. Has anyone been put on this due to early misscarrying?

I'm factor V Leiden deficient (so form clots easily) and had to inject clexane throughout during my 2 my successful pregnancies. I also had 4 early miscarriage before I got onto the clexane. It's annoying, and you do end up covered in 5p sized bruises, but I think it helped, and certainly didn't hurt the babies. (My mum who is also deficient in factor V had 6 miscarriages in the 70s before it could be tested for).
I don't know if the clexane made any difference, but I've got 2 children, and it didn't harm so was worth it.

Ps- doc told me aspirin was worthless.....

I’ve had 3 early miscarriages before ds1 was born full term not given clexane he was 5lb11oz born, when having ds2 test said I was lupus anticoagulant so prescribed clexane from about 8 weeks until 6 weeks after having him, he weighed 8lb1oz, ds3 was prescribed clexane as soon as pregnant and again injected everyday until post 6 week check, he weighed 7lb8oz. Definitely think it would have helped ds1. No ill effects on me or babies. I always injected in thigh or upper arm and didn’t take aspirin. My boys are now 20, 15 and 12.

Worked for me too with 3 successful term pregnancies after 3m/c.

Get your vit d checked regularly. Mine nosedived while on Clexane but managed it with high dose supplements.

Windowing.....
I've also had 4 miscarriages which many doctors have said there was no cause for and simply bad luck. Was you the same?
I've only recently been told that I have an issue with forming blood clot( not sure of the specific name). What dose was you put on as I'm only on 20g.
I'm only 5 weeks pregnant with my first scan on Wednesday. I'm very nervous as I'm a long way away from being out of the risk done so just trying to get as much info as I can to put my mind at ease. Anything will help at this point. Everyone says don't stress but after loosing 4 babies how can you not. I'm just rely hoping this will work x

Hi,

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I've got factor v Leiden and was on clexane from BFP and will be on it until 6 weeks post delivery (only another 2 weeks to go now until i reach that point). I was also on aspirin throughout and progesterone initially. I'm convinced they made a difference as I've had a few losses in the past and conceiving in the first place has always been difficult.

My nhs consultant did switch me to tinzaparin (sp?) as clexane was often on shortage and tricky to get hold of. Mentioning in case you experience the same x

Stressmummakeeks · 14/07/2018 19:24

So I've been reading up about claxane and majority of people are on a much higher dose than me. 40mg-100mg I'm only on 20mg just wondering if that's normal and how they decide what dosage we should be on?? X
