Baby bump

Hi all,

I'm currently 17w2d pregnant. I'm not brave enough to share my pre pregnancy weight, but I was around a size 22. A friend of mine is 10 days further along in her pregnancy and has a perfectly round bump. I, on the other hand, just look fatter than usual. I've added a photo to show my 'bump' today. This is an absolute miracle baby and I want to show off to the world that I am pregnant! When did you larger ladies first get an obvious bump?

Thank you! Xx

I’m a size 17 (can fit in 16 but prefer the roominess of a size bigger!) and at 24+4 I have a definite bump now. It wasn’t until last week where you could tell I hadn’t just had a big lunch when wearing clothes but could definitely tell when I was in/out of shower.

I found that wearing maternity clothes rather than just bigger clothes helps define the baby area more and can help to give the illusion of a bump without having a round bump yet so maybe that is something to consider?

Congratulations and hopefully you’ll get your bump soon!

COngratulations! Although it's 17 years ago, I remember not showing with DC1 at all until I was about 28 weeks pregnant and I'm not a larger lady. I'm actually very slim. But I am tall.
Are you tall, by chance?
Apparently, taller women show later.
Though after DC1, I got my bump around 16-20 weeks with my subsequent pregnancies.
The first baby seems to be the one we show the latest in. But honestly, you'll go from no bump to just 'popping out' in a very short time. Enjoy your wonderful and happy pregnancy, OP! Flowers

Bumps come in all shapes and sizes, and at different speeds, as I have been learning. I'm tall and good abs before I was pregnant. I'm 24 weeks now and still don't have a proper bump. As someone kindly said at the weekend, I look like I've had 'a good meal and a boob job' 🤣 It will come. Xx
