I started with just folic acid but found myself feeling very sick.

I moved onto pregnacare original

Any thoughts on these vitamins?

They personally made my nausea a lot worse and I have heard the same for many other people too. No idea if it really is a direct correlation or not.

Baby160P · 10/07/2018 15:11

Oh ok, what do you take instead?

I'm hoping when they're in my system they don't make me feel the same way!

I took them from start to finish and felt fine.

Tori34 · 10/07/2018 15:32

I’m managing one about ever 2/3 days without throwing/gagging it up.

Took them no problem until about 8 weeks and then the sickness got SO bad

eyesontheprize57 · 10/07/2018 15:34

I found that if I took them on an evening before bed then I didn't have any of the slight queasiness.

sprinkleofsunshine · 10/07/2018 15:37

I take the conception ones right before bed and am fine.

WhirlingTurkey · 10/07/2018 15:37

Pregnacare made me sick too. Plus I struggled to swallow the gigantic pill when feeling so nauseous anyway.

I'm taking Boots combined Folic Acid & Vitamin D - they are tiny tablets and have the level of Folic Acid and Vit D recommend by the NHS.

starlightmagic · 10/07/2018 15:53

They made me feel very sick too, til I read that they need to be taken on a full stomach, no problems since then

Baby160P · 10/07/2018 16:00

I had the full stomach issue too. I didn't realise!

I take mine after dinner and so far so good 🙈

I take the pregnacare plus after my evening meal. At least I'll have eaten something by then

Iwouldliketostopfeelingsicknow · 10/07/2018 16:48

I stopped taking Pregnacare as was giving me such a bad stomach and I couldn’t face taking their giant tablets when I was feeling sick.

I’ve moved onto the seven seas ones instead.

I had tried eating them on a full stomach but I’m quite often sick or nauseous so not able to get full enough

Strawberry23 · 10/07/2018 17:19

I took pregnacare for 12 weeks and they contributed to how crap I felt. After 12 weeks I decided to move onto the Boots version! Much better

cryptonaut · 10/07/2018 18:02

I'm taking pregnacare original, as instructed I take it with or just after my main meal (so dinner for me). It hasn't made me sick at all.

Yakadee · 10/07/2018 18:16

I've used these so far with my current pregnancy and with DS1 - no problems for me but have heard a lot of issues with sickness in others x

Baby160P · 10/07/2018 19:33

Thanks all. I'll stick to them. Only thing I have is a may need to change them to breakfast as I can't stomach dinner at the moment, feel sick from 5pm!
