Twin pregnancy with minimal symptoms?

Hiya

I found out at 6 weeks 4 days that i am having twins at an early scan. From 6 weeks my symptoms were quite bad but when I woke up at 8 weeks on the dot I felt fine. Symptoms every now and again. I had another scan at 9 weeks and still hardly any symptoms and we saw both clear heartbeats and they were wriggling around 😍 The lady doing the scan seems to think all is well and there is no reason why it wouldn’t continue past 12 weeks. She said I must be lucky with the symptoms but I’m STILL not convinced! I don’t understand?? I know people who have had twins and they were so so poorly and I get the odd sickness, tiredness occasionally, and a bit bloated, and I do cry at literally anything now but I still don’t feel like I am pregnant. This is my first pregnancy so I have nothing to compare to I just expected worse than this. Is there something wrong with me?!?!😢 Has anyone else been like this and all seemed to be fine? My 12 week scan is next Friday (20th July) but I am dreading it in case something bad has happened since my last scan!

I should be enjoying this but I feel like I can’t because I’m so anxious!!

Congratulations on your twin pregnancy, that is so exciting. I have a strange feeling in the back of my head that I might be expecting twins, I can't explain it, although I've had a lot of symptoms but then again, every pregnancy is different!

I have my first scan next week and I'm so so nervous, if you don't mind me asking how did your scan go?

During my twin pregnancy I felt great, just hungry constantly up until the heartburn kicked in at about 4/5 months, think I was sick maybe twice the whole pregnancy. Was really sick with my two older dd's the whole way through.

I wasn't sick when expecting twins just very tired for the first 12 weeks and constantly hungry. No other symptoms. They are 16 months old now!

@NEW2THIS2018 - My scan went great thank you! Everything was totally fine and both babies are still in there kicking around with lovely heartbeats :)

@BrazzleDazzleDay - So glad I am not the only one. I know I shouldn't worry and be happy but its so easy to turn a positive into a negative before 12 weeks. I am feeling fine now though after I had my 12 week scan it seems there is nothing to worry about :)

OP, you are still getting symptoms so that’s a good sign. I think you only need to worry if they totally stop (and even then things might still be fine).

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Twins are just the absolute best thing ever. Mind are almost 2 and every day I just feel so lucky I got two at once. I didn’t like the throwing up 3 times daily for the first trimester though so it sounds like you are indeed very lucky!
