Stabbing pain in tummy at 27 weeks

I've been having some pretty nasty stabbing type pains in my tummy (from side to side, along the area where my tummy button is) for about the last half hour. It's not letting up. I'm a bit of a weakling when it comes to pain though so trying to factor that in.

3rd baby and never experienced this before. I've had round ligament pain before but I don't think it's that, which has previously been lower. It's a constant pain and doesn't feel like tightenings so I don't think it's braxton hicks either (although I've never had them before but understand they're apparently painless).

Baby is moving normally but it really hurts so I feel like I should probably call the midwife when I get back from school this morning. Anyone experienced anything like this before? Trying to work out what it might be...not sure if it's just something perfectly normal and I'm over reacting? I suppose it could be baby in an awkward position!

Definitely call your midwife. Sorry I've not had that but anything odd call them or the hospital. Hope it's just something silly. Xxx

Yes I think I need to. Baby is since moving a lot more than normal...possibly a bit too frantic, but baby does do that sometimes. Trying to get dd ready for school in between very uncomfortable pain.

Spoke to midwife who is not concerned. Questioned labour but I don't think it's that. She thinks either braxton hicks or baby in odd position and to call back if anything changes/worsens.
