Hi ladies

After having very hectiv time, following your advice on recent holiday to California re flights etc. and trying for baby for 8 months...holiday seemed to do trick! Conceived last month a week after holiday and am now 5.5 weeks... am feeling fine...tired during the day but have to say not feeling as bad as I did with no.1. Do not have sore boobs at all...is this normal?
Just feeling tired during the day, last time needed to go to bed at 8pm ish but this time not finding that at all...can someone put my mind at rest?
Did another pregnancy test on Friday to make sure and was positive.
Just feels a bit strange to be feeling so good...
Can anyone help?

Corrin I'm 8 weeks. Didn't have any symptoms till 6 weeks really. Then tired (but a 45min snooze while dd has her nap is enough) and boobs a bit sore, and feeling slightly queasy. And indigestion. But nothing very major and it seems to be getting a bit better already. Hang in there for the 12 week scan!

Congratulations Corrin. I'm also on my second pregnancy and this one couldn't be more different from my first, I spent the first trimester of pregnancy number one with my head down the toilet but not this time thank goodness. Have to say I haven't sufferend the sore boob thing this time round either I'm 33 weeks, sadly this time said parts have not quite hit the dizzy heights they did last time.... much to dp's dissappointment!!!
I'm also a lot more tired this time round but I think this may be more to do with the fact I have an energetic toddler to chase after as apposed to the first time round. Have a wonderful pregnancy who knows perhaps you have different symptoms this time round because you might be having a girl/boy opposite of whichever you had first time round. That's what the midwife suggested to me anyways...

Congratulations Corrin

There are so many symptoms with pg - isn't it kind of mother nature to give us a good old bit of variety!

If you are at all concerned, go to an early pregnancy unit and demand a scan (well, in a week or so, it's a bit early right now). My second pregnancy was very different to my first - it was awful after a relatively easy first pg. I had to sleep at least 12 hours a day and was over-tired for the rest of the time. I also crashed the car twice in as many weeks, had several near misses, and was very tearful and emotional. In my case these differences appear to have been because the pg was failing. Because it all seemed so different I went to my EPU at 5 weeks, was told to come back at 7 weeks and it was then I found out it was all wrong. I am so grateful that I listened to my body and went for that early scan otherwise I would not have known anything until 13 weeks.

I am sure that nothing so dreadful will happen to you (and we're all here for you anyway), but I suppose I'm just saying to listen to your body and check out absolutely anything that worries you at all!

I felt completely different with my second preg too - partly to do with each pregnancy being different, but partly because my life was so different with dd around.

You'll be fine...congratulations!

Hi Corrin & congratulations. I feel the same way - I'm 6 weeks and last time massive nausea had kicked in already by this stage whereas apart from a horrible cold I'm just getting over I still feel ok. No sore boobs either, though I'm still breastfeeding a bit so maybe that's it? I'm hoping maybe I'm going to get off lighter this time - though it could just be delayed - am crossing my fingers! Though if I don't feel any different in a week or so I may look into having an early scan.
