a few weeks ago i thought i weed my self, anyway i wear pads all the time incase i trickel, and since then i found my pads after few hours goes brown thats why i thought it was wee tmi [sorry] but dont smell like wee, went for a growth scan on thrusday 36 1/2 weeks was asked if i lossed fluid i told them about what happened and they checked blood flow to placenta which was ok, she said fluid was low.
since then ive been carfull with how i check and found when i get up out of bed or move of my side when layed down, i leak i know coz i can feel which hole its comming from [sorry] but its not alot, i go back to see consluantant on thrusday again to see if am ripe as she put it, does this all sound ok?? i feel very scared as my placenta as only two cords instead of three, and already dont know whats happing with my baby.

sorry for ranting just hope some one can shed some light on all this was to upset to ask to many questions when i was there, its after wards when i got home i think of all thses.

Give them a ring to check. I don't have a similar experience but I think it is worth asking.

trace2 · 27/05/2007 11:27

sorry about spelling, my heads all over the place

Hi Trace....you're not having a great time of it are you? (((((((((hugs))))))))). I would call your MW out of hours service or the delivery suite if there are any worries....this is one less thing that you need to be worrying about at the moment, and the usual advice from Lulu/mars/klaw about this is call and get it checked out.

We want your LO to be safe.

lulumama · 27/05/2007 13:19

are oyu concerned you are constantly leaking amniotic fluid?
if so, go to midwife asap. if there are issues with the placenta, and fluid, it can stop baby growing as big as they should, and moving like they should..if you are 'ripe' on thursday, will you be induced?

sounds like you are scared, and thursday is a long way away

do call delivery suite or your midwife..i think you need more reassurance than we can give you !

trace2 · 27/05/2007 14:02

thank you for listening to me, yes am scared have been for a while now as we dont know whats happening wi the baby aas been told could have problems, also ive been silly and googled low fluid and it says they babys lungs may not be ready, or the baby could have kideny problems which they said could happen with the two cord vessel, its like it comfirms theres some thing wrong.

i will phone hospital if it carrys on today i just dont want feel silly, but i think ive just lost a bit of my plug too, no blood just a bit mucasey,

lumma yes i think they said if am ripe they will induce me, i was having csection but with my problems bllod clotting they dont want me to have one unless its got to be.

i think you should call labour ward, tell them you are leaking fluid and have had a show....it doesn;t always have to be bloody...just a lump of clear, snot like mucous !

where are you in the country? are you down south? might be able to find yourself a doula at short notice ( budget permitting ) , sounds like you are in need of some nurturing and support

trace2 · 27/05/2007 14:12

it was noy clear, more creamy snot like! no i dont live down south ,up in yorkshie

OP posts:
lulumama · 27/05/2007 14:15

there are doulas in yorkshire!

are you feeling very anxious now?

trace2 · 27/05/2007 14:19

thanks lulumama! just spoke to dh and we going wait it out a while, coz if its just disscarge ill feel really silly, i find while i know the babys moving i can cope i think, been told to watch for no movements which i know they slowed down and kicks not as hard she is still moving.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 27/05/2007 14:24

Trace...please call them...it'll put your mind at rest. and as you have other things going on they will not think you silly. even if they check you out and send you home again, you'll at least be reassured

...I've been in twice already FGS for painful BH contractions at 33 weeks and I'd go again if I was concerned.

lulumama · 27/05/2007 14:26

was it a lump of some sort of mucus, rather than thinner, liquidier discharge??

c'mon, no such thing as TMI!

trace2 · 27/05/2007 14:28

hi daisey just asked about you on june thread, i know what your saying i am told am very stubrn and i hate bothing folk, ive been once when she didnt move for a about 12 hours they went mad ive left it so long, but as soon as i got there she moved, am going to ring to see what they say i promise ill let you know.

OP posts:
lulumama · 27/05/2007 14:29

you are not bothering folk, you have an issue with your placenta and low fluid

jabberwocky · 27/05/2007 14:33

trace, sounds like maybe you have lost your plug. Please just go on in and get checked. It never hurts to be sure everything is OK. Sounds like you are 37 weeks so it would be fine to deliver anytime.

hellish · 27/05/2007 14:33

I'm sure you and baby are fine, but if you are worried and you sound like you are, call the delivery suite.

I did the same thing for the same reason, more than once, they were lovely and always said they would prefer to check than have pregnant ladies at home worrying.

Really, ring them, say you feel that you need to be checked, all you can lose is a few hours in the delivery suite and you'll feel so much better.

Good luck, you're nearly there.

trace2 · 27/05/2007 14:35

ok i have to be checked, so going now ill let you know, thank you all

OP posts:
lulumama · 27/05/2007 14:43

i'll try to find it, all you really need to do is lay down with a pillow under your bum, clean hand, insert finger GENTLY and feel your cervix...it should feel like a pursed mouth if it is ripening....go gently and make sure your nails are not ragged! also, it is your body and your cervix and you are allowed to touch it!

trace, going to the loo won;t make you have a show unless your cervix is ripening and starting to open

lulumama · 27/05/2007 14:45

take care trace x

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 28/05/2007 09:16

Trace...hope you're OK....been thinking about you this morning

Phoenix · 28/05/2007 09:27

I just sent her a text and she's fine. I'm sure she'll be on later
