Call your midwife for reasuurance.

winestein · 27/05/2007 09:02

Agreed - you need to ring either your Midwife or the hospital number that should be with your notes.

Rosa5 · 27/05/2007 09:02

I would give your NHS direct even you local hosp a quick ring just to get some advice. As you are concerned its a good idea to ask the experts. Try not to worry hope it is all ok .

foxybrown · 27/05/2007 09:04

FWIW, I agree. Call your MW, or if you can't get through ring the Delivery Suite at your hospital for advice.

Good luck

Call the local maternity unit. I often did and they were really helpful, they normally told me to come down so they could check me over. It will put your mind at rest!

winestein · 27/05/2007 09:06

I would skip NHS direct personally. They are known locally here as NHS RE-direct for pregnant ladies - you'll be in the back of an ambulance before you know it if you ring them. They are scared of pregnant ladies.
Ring the experts.

i agree call the maternity unit at your local hospital.

Can you go to the hospital if you are still worried? Does it have a fetal medicine unit?

yogimum · 27/05/2007 09:49

did you tell them about the pains? I had a lot of pains in the last few weeks, (baby was fine) but i would still want my mind put at ease. Be persistant, probably as its a bank holiday weekend they are short staffed. Hope the GP rings you soon.

lulumama · 27/05/2007 10:11

have you been drinking enough water?

being dehydrated can give you BH , headache and concentrated wee

try sitting with your feet raised higher than your hips, and drink some water, and have the paracetomla if the pain is bad....

have you had your BP checked and your urine checked for protein recently?

are you having any visual disturbances?

ChippyMinton · 27/05/2007 10:12

nadinetd, without wanting to alarm you, swelling and headaches are two symptoms of pre-eclampsia, you should go and get checked out at the maternity unit as soon as possible.

nadinetd · 27/05/2007 10:38

foxybrown · 27/05/2007 11:34

Must admit I thought pre-eclampsia, so am surprised MWs didn't say to go in
