I was on the pill for years and then I stopped halfway through the pack, I started bleeding on the 10th May and it continued for at least a week but eased up a lot after a day or two.
I ovulated around the 27th of May I think.
My doctor reckons my due date is around valentines day and that I'm 7 weeks along.
But If I stopped the pill pack halfway through and started bleeding a couple days after stopping, does it actually count? It's not a proper period.
I haven't told the doctors that I stopped the pill halfway, but they know I was previously on the pill although they assumed I bled on the 7 day break.

I haven't been offered a dating scan because they think I know how far I am but I'm wondering if I'm wrong?

does May 10th count as the first day of my LMP?
Or does stopping the pill pack halfway mess things up.

If you ovulated around 27th may, that's nearly 6 weeks ago, so you're nearly 8 weeks, and due date would be around mid Feb. When you have your 12 week scan they'll revise your estimated due date anyway. And it's only ever a ballpark guess. There's a 5 week window in which you might deliver without it being remotely problematic.

I was the same op stopped the pill mid pack and counted from the bleed instead of from a period. It doesn't sound like you will be too far out on the dates but as pp said the 12 week scan will confirm it.

Oh ok 👍🏽 Thanks :) I remember reading a lot online that if you stop the pill halfway through then it makes it hard to know your due date if you get pregnant straight away , that’s why I was worried... but maybe that applied to women who weren’t aware of their ovulation dates? Anyways thanks for the help :)
