Are all babies really psychic??

My baby is really active, kicking like crazy all the time, I can usually predict when he'll be really busy, esp after meals etc. However, whenever I put my hand on my bump to see if I can feel him, nothing! He goes all shy! My poor dh is desperate to feel a kick, but it's like the baby knows he's there and won't play ball!

Dunno about psychic. More likely to be sod's law lol.

Mine was exactly like that MrsMa: my Mum was starting to get paranoid.

He's making up for it now though. He'll grin at anyone. (Pic on my profile - you'll see what I mean).

How pregnant are you?

what a fantastic picture!!! I'm 23+3. Little blighter's been doing it again, had a cuppa and a biscuit about half an hour ago, so he's going crazy on the sugar, and whenever I put my hand on my belly, nada! cheeky monkey!

They don't change on the outside I only have to think of making a cup of tea and DS will start........

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Mine is ten weeks now, and it was all worth it. It's like the first time you fall in love...

DP's not managed to feel this baby yet, I find that if I am very gentle when I first put my hands on baby will carry on, and even nudge back if I nudge. However, DP comes along, plonks his hand on and.... nothing!

Bodkin · 26/05/2007 22:54

Its so weird isn't it? I can virtually feel mine holding it's breath and burrowing down the minute DP puts his hand on. The only time anyone cops a feel now is when it's got hiccups, and then you are guaranteed to feel something as the poor thing has no choice!

When I was pg with DS1 - he used to love the dog! - the dog used to rest his head on my bump - and the bump would really nudge the dog and not for anyone else.

When he was born they (DS1 & dog) had a very close & loving relationship until the dog died of old age. Even a year later DS1 (now aged 3yrs) occasionally says I really miss 'Woody'.

I believe they bonded before he was born which I would never have believed possible.

ds1 used to roll away from anyone apart from me when they put their hand on my bump....
