I feel and seem to be to big to have sex 😂 What position can I possibly get into to make this work? We are ready for this baby now ( yes they come when they are ready) but no harm in pretending I'm helping 🙈 laying in missionary I struggle to breathe and don't want to hurt the baby by certain positions🤦🏻‍♀️

You on top, that's about the only thing I found to work at that stage!

grace7 · 06/07/2018 15:46

Lol, I had sex at 41 wks and baby was born 7 hours afterShock I could do missionary, but otherwise you on top /doggy style / spooning position? (is that even what it's called?)Confused

ShowOfHands · 06/07/2018 15:49

There is absolutely no evidence that sex induces labour and some studies have found it might delay it...

Have sex if you want to have sex but it won't start labour.

SoyDora · 06/07/2018 15:54

Had sex the day I went into labour with both of mine! I imagine it was a coincidence as I was overdue both times Grin.
I can’t really remember the logistics of it but I think it was on my side with him behind...

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 06/07/2018 15:57

Doggy style is the easiest pregnancy position.

Eeeeek2 · 06/07/2018 17:08

Doggy

IceBearRocks · 06/07/2018 17:17

Doggy....worked on all 3 of mine arrived within 12 hours of the bonk!!!

almostmumtotwo · 06/07/2018 17:49

Doggy is the easiest... I'm due tomorrow and it hasn't worked for me though haha. Side position is probably just as easy as doggy too.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 06/07/2018 17:51

Soggy and cowgirl

NotUmbongoUnchained · 06/07/2018 17:53

Doggy Grin

Soggy sounds fun also though.

BrutusMcDogface · 06/07/2018 18:06

Soggy! 😂

I would say doggy and woman on top, too. I've heard midwives say that there is prostaglandin in semen which could bring on labour! Worth a try, eh?!

BrutusMcDogface · 06/07/2018 18:08

Oooh, and nipple tweaking. I've definitely felt a rush of oxytocin after nipple action Blush

ShowOfHands · 06/07/2018 20:33

There are prostaglandins in semen but they won't start labour. Same as there's heroin in a poppy but you won't get high from sniffing one. For every woman who had sex and 12 hours later went into labour, there are a 100 who had sex and didn't. The labour was caused by being heavily pregnant. I could tell you I ate rice within 3hrs of labour both times (I did) but it didn't start labour.

Alright, Show ! Those pearls of wisdom won't stop me from trying anything, ANYTHING, to get this baby out when my due date has been and gone! Whether it works or not, it might make me feel better.

BrutusMcDogface · 06/07/2018 21:58

Anything apart from pineapple, that is. It dissolves my tongue.

GladAllOver · 06/07/2018 21:59

Enjoy the sex now, while you can. You don't know when you will be getting it again!

yummyeclair · 06/07/2018 23:27

Sitting on the sofa - baby arrived the next day!
