Hi all,
I'm a size 16. Sometimes 14 if in the right shops! Im about 5ft 6" and I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and have read a few posts online about plus size people not showing. I'm very bottom half heavy and have always had a flatter belly than thighs but have gained quite a bit of weight over the last few years and have extra fat around my belly area. If you're a similar size, did you show? Was your bump round? When did you start to show?
Thanks x

I'm almost exactly the same as you. Last pregnancy I started to show around 24 weeks. This pregnancy I'm only 9 weeks but feel huge! It's mainly bloat though!

I would expect you to have a bump, but all women, irrespective of their dress size, carry differentry. I'm a size 22-24 so much bigger than you, and in this picture I was about to have my son by c-section at 38+6. I think you can just about make out my bump through my hospital gown...

Im a size 18-20 and currently 36+6 this was my bump a last week its very noticeable

I'm usually size 16 to18 and definitely have a bump.

I've been a size 16 during both my pregnancies and am the same height as you. Bumps both times.

I was a 14-16 when i got pregnant and by 20 weeks I had a small bump. By 30 weeks it was very noticable. By 41 weeks it was all you could see of me! Even though I only put on about a stone over the whole pregnancy it was still very much there. I'm sure you will have a bump, don't worry :)

Oh bless you! I was a size 16 at the start of my pregnancy and it was a bit of a weird one really. I had a very nice round bump but it was not really noticeable from the front or back, only the side! Even our next door neighbour didn't notice that I was pregnant until months after the baby was born...

On days when I really wanted other people to know that I was pregnant, I would deliberately wear more fitted maternity tops/dresses that cling to the bump more - and lots of belly rubbing! I normally hate tighter fitting clothes but loved it at the time.

You'll definitely get a bump - mine came around 17 weeks. I was a 14/16 prior to pregnancy.

This was a week and a half a go at 36+4.

Although saying that, I went to see a gp the day before this pic was taken and he didn't realise I was upduffed. Congratulations by the way!!

Thanks all! Hopefully I'll have bumps like you all Smile the pics are great by the way! Thanks everyone! X

You might not have an obvious bump from early on, but if you take regular (sideways) pictures of yourself you should definitely be able to tell from early on. It took me a while to stop looking fat and start looking pregnant, and I could probably still get away with it if you didn't know me, but this was me at 25+5. I was a generous size 18 at the start. As a PP said, maternity clothes are the way to go!

I'm in the same boat OP. I'm 17.5 weeks pregnant and was plus size before pregnancy. (Size 24 but have since lost just over two stone so think I'm now a 20) I've been seeing lovely bump pictures from the ladies who are in my Due in group and they all have perfect bumps and mine just looks like fat still. It's making me very paranoid. This is also my third pregnancy so I do have a baby overhang too (gosh I sound super attractive 😂) my OH keeps reassuring me it will come.. I just want to LOOK pregnant and not just like I've been on the takeaways for a month solidly 🙄 I'll attach a pic so you can see what I mean. Don't worry though OP I'm sure we'll get our bumps eventually ☺️

This is mine at 19+4 weeks I was a size 16/18 before I was pregnant so it will definitely come soon!! Mine decided to pop at about 15 weeks
