Hey ladies,

I'm 33 weeks and as of around 4am just my left foot is itching madly and just won't let up. Obviously I know itching on hands and feet can be a sign of intrahepatic cholestasis. Would this be the case with one foot? What should I do? Thank you in advance x

How strange, I was up all night with an itchy left foot last night and my first thought was am I pregnant (I'm not) as with all 3 of my pregnancies I have had itchy feet and hands. Now think it must be just a hot feet/dry weather thing. Obviously keep an eye on it if it gets worse but as it's just your foot I'm sure it will be fine! Good luck, I was around your stage this time last year and it's flown by!

@newcupcake well I'm pretty sure that's what this is for though, with it being the one foot and me being young and some women on here having a lot more expertise I thought I'd ask before bothering my midwife that was all

Surely anything involving your health whilst pregnant you're not going to take the advice of an Internet forum over seeking professional medical
Advice ???

@newcupcake I always call my midwife or MAU if I have any issues but as I said I know that usually with that it's both feet and hands which is why I just asked for a little advice on here with it being one foot and if someone has had something similar. If it carried on once I got up this morning I would of rang but it hasn't
