Just back from scan, it’s was 2.30pm appt so shattered, long wait then baby wasn’t playing ball being in the right position for all the measurements. Everything was looking ok until the last measurement was the NT. It measured 2.8 which they said was borderline high, so sent us in a side room for a midwife to come and talk to us, need to wait for bloods, to see if high risk, but I am also 36yrs so terrified that I will be high risk. Just really wanted to be told that everything would be ok. Has anyone else had similar NT result and been a similar age to me and everything was ok?

2.8 is still within the normal range. I had a 3.1 measurement with dc2 and combined with bloods, I was still low risk.

I'm 40 and had NT of 3.9. risk of Down's was 1 in 5. Baby is fine (I'm now 26 weeks and had all the tests). I wouldn't worry about 2.8. Even if you do end up higher risk, which I think is unlikely, try not to panic. You just get more opportunities to see your baby and a really detailed scan xx

Update - Ho Ladies, so got my blood results back this afternoon and thank god, they were fine and I am low risk. 1/805 for Downs and 1/2093 for Edwards and Patau. So relieved. Said for my age (36) it’s a really low result ! So relieved. Now to try and relax and enjoy my pregnancy x
