TTC - First baby

Kind of new to this.. We're TTC, about to start our fourth cycle and I'm feeling so down hearted. Is there anyone else in the same situation? We want a baby so much and I'm tired of tracking, tired of the BFNs, I just want it to happen.

I know there are people in a much worse situation but I don't know how to manage the monthly let downs.

Looking for someone to go through this crazy journey with and hoping we all get BFNs soon! :)

Hi sorry to hear that your having difficulty TTC I started trying and was advised to eat sea food yep sounds silly but i gave that a try along with TTC lube 2 months later I fell pregnant with my lil girl, this was after trying for over a year, I had scampi twice a week for dinner i used to try and track ovulation but never worked for me I hope your not waiting much longer 😘

It took us 5 months to conceive and I thought this was really quick.

They say the average is 12 months.

For the first 4 months we were trying between CD10-CD20, turn out I ovulate on CD8 so for four months was totally missing my fertile window.

Good luck, you will get there, just try different dates each cycle.

Agree with PP that I thought they say it's normal for it to take up to a year to get pregnant? Must feel like ages if you're TTC though!

Hello! TTC our first baby too!

Technically cycle 2 - but I’ve been really irregular since I started tracking my cycles at the start of the year, roughly lasting 6 weeks ish but they really do vary so it’s making it tricky to track fertile days etc, we’ve just decided to go for it every day and see what happens (not much fun in this heat!) - hoping for our BFP soon, I know it’s not been long in the grand scheme of things but it’s still disappointing when AF arrives... especially as we got married last year and it’s all our families want to talk about!

It took us 5 months which is very quick and we feel very lucky. The first 2 months i was obsessive about getting pregnant, I found the best thing we did was relax about it all and enjoy it. I knew roughly when id be ovulating. We had regular sex and i took folic acid. So yeah my advice would be to relax and enjoy!

I conceived twice both times within first month of trying - try using an app? I used Flo which helped to let me know what days I'm more fertile which gave me more indication to do the deed

Took me over two years and a round of ivf with two early mc along the way. It's very average for it to take a year. Lower your expectations.

Please don’t be downhearted at his early stage it will torture you at Xmas

We were trying for nearly a year using an app to track when I was fertile. Nothing was happening and I went to doctor and got tested, was just waiting on an app for DH to get tested.
I then switched to peeing on those fertility sticks and realised my window was much sooner than the app was telling me (and we had wasted 12 months!)
First month and we got very lucky.

@Iloveyoubaby26 So happy to hear that it didn't take long for you! Since writing this post I have chilled out a bit more, I think I just had a day where I couldn't see it ever happening. Which I know is completely irrational. Thank you for the advice xx
