Hi all,

I was just wondering whether anyone could share whether their antenatal care was any different in their second pregnancy if they were told there was FGR & baby was small for gestational age in their first pregnancy?

LO was born at the start of this year, and weight was under 10th centile on my customised growth chart - though is absolutely fine & thriving - and whilst I'm not pregnant again, we are thinking of trying again at the end of the year, so I was just wondering whether anything would be different next time around?

If anyone has any experience, it would be greatly appreciated - it wasn't really explained fully so not sure whether it's anything to worry about or a relatively normal occurrence!

I would imagine that you would be under Consultant led care and you would have extra growth scans throughout the pregnancy. I guess the outcome of those scans would determine the rest of your care, how frequently you are seen etc.

Hi , not sure what FGR is (fetal growth restriction?) I had IUGR(intrauterine growth restriction) also had reduced amniotic fluid at the end , was induced , and daughter was fine. I am pregnant with baby girl number 2 now and am under shared care (midwife and consultant) have already had my 12 week and 20 week scans and have 4 growth scans book for the rest of pregnancy and will have review with my consultant after each , hope that helps x
