Bump bother

Hi all,

So second pregnancy (20 weeks) and I have a B-bump this time (Where the upper tummy is bigger then below bellybutton). I had a c-section last year so don't know if this is anything to do with it or just because I am a bigger lady this time round. Anyway...

I have a wedding to attend end of July and I have found the most beautiful coral maxi dress from Wallis. Fits lovely with room for bump. Any tips for making my bump look more like a traditional bump in dress? Miss my d bump from last pregancy- as I don't feel as pregnant looking as last time but have an obvious belly... just might look like a beer belly! :-)

I've got the same this time and I'm 24 weeks. Floaty rather than fitted dresses seem to flatter better

Whoops posted twice. Do you think I should choose another style? Thanks ladies. Glad to know I'm not alone 😊 I love my bump just wish it was more rounded for this wedding 😂

It’s the extra weight, I have a similar issue because I a stone heavier this time round, I’m hoping as my bump grows it will become rounder!

If I were you I’d consider two options. Either pregnanct Spanx to give even coverage. I love my Spanx but I couldn’t handle them in this heat, or I’d change the style of the dress.

Ceebs85 · 02/07/2018 22:44

Yeah I'd change the style as to people who don't know you're pregnant it'll just look like you're wearing an unflattering dress.

There's 2 other pregnant women at work and I'm so jealous of their lovely round bumps!

Thanks guys. Gutted as I really liked it but as I won't know many people- they won't know I'm pregnant. 😂

I can’t see anything wrong with your bump at all! It looks completely like a normal round bump to me? I think the dress is lovely also and I would definitely think you were pregnant in it and rocking it too. I don’t know what I’m missing Confused xx

Thanks @clangertwanger 😊 love the name! Maybe I will try some supportive maternity underwear and see then. You've made me want to give it a second try.

How about wearing a belly band to smooth it out? You won't want anything too thick though if it's likely to be warm.

ClangerTwanger · 03/07/2018 23:18

Thanks @fluffybat ❤️ I think it’s a lovely dress and your bump looks completely normal and beautiful. Xx
