This is TMI but I am fast learning TMI is just part of pregnancy!

Since becoming pregnant, especially in the last few weeks, I've found I've been really bloated with wind and constipated. Sometimes sitting up feels uncomfortable because I have so much trapped wind...

I've started eating whole foods only as much as possible which is helping but does anyone have any advice for reliving wind and constipation?

That definitely should have said relieving and not reliving!

I was the same. I used lactulose which helped. Hope you feel better soon x

A fibre gel in the morning with orange juice, another in the evening with water. Lactulose if you’re hard. Drink lots of water. Don’t skimp on the fibre gel if you start moving again.

Fybogel sachets mixed in orange juice and drink lots of water.

Are you into maternity jeans yet or are your ordinary trousers starting to pinch? If they are wearing something a bit more comfortable might also help.

If sitting upright is uncomfortable recline your chair slightly if you can.

Lactalose and when you need to go put your feet on a stool so your knees are higher than your hips also if you press your bum cheeks either side of your bum hole that will help...these were tips from an old school mw when I still had t gone 7 days post birth 😳they helped!

Prune juice morning and evening! Tastes horrible but really effective.

Are you taking pregnancy vitamins? If you are taking in too much iron that can make you constipated. It happen to me so I ditched the multi-vitamin and just took what I needed to - i.e. Folic acid and vitamin d and calcium I think. (Check which are the recommended vits to take in pregnancy, and only take these). When I did this, my constipation went away!

Stone fruits have saved me, two peaches a day. Fab.

Completely and utterly second the laculose! Take it every day and drink loads of water! I don't miss pregnancy constipation one bit!

Prunes, they are actually quite nice! They remind me of the fig roll filling.
Never tried prune juice though.

Small meals/snacks high in fibre, takes the pressure off your system a bit.
