HCP 70% off ergobaby carriers

Hello all...

Are you a healthcare professional, or know one?

I found out, through another forum, that if you contact ergobaby through their official website, asking for a discount code for a HCP, with evidence (I took a photo of my work ID and sent a link to my entry on the register), they will give you a personal one-off code for 70% off.

That’s an ergobaby carrier for £46 instead of £156.

I just placed my order and even got a free blanket which was on offer with full price carriers. I’m quite astonished that it worked. There are a lot of fakes out there but this was definitely the official site.

(i’m not marketing, was just needing a new carrier and excited about my bargain). Hope someone else can benefit from this too!

That's brilliant, thanks for letting me know, I will give it a try.

I'm thankfully not in the market for a baby carrier, but I utterly loved carrying my kids when they were little, and the Ergo was my favourite.

Enjoy wearing your baby!

anxiouswaiting · 02/07/2018 18:24

Is it just midwives or any hcp? I'm a nurse, could I get one?

Aspergallus · 02/07/2018 19:30

anxiouswaiting I’m not a mw, just wrote in my email that I was an NHS healthcare professional...email was addressed back to me, “Dear Healthcare Worker”.

Give it a go?

You little legend! I've been after one but cost put me off! Thank you for posting xx

Elllicam · 02/07/2018 20:00

Brilliant I will give it a go :)

Potkettleblack2 · 02/07/2018 20:30

I'm not a HCP but came on to say that my DD had lots of hip issues as a baby (for for first year of her life) and the specialist suggested ergobaby was one of the best brands for supporting hips at this age. I paid full price-but it was a great purchase!

Aspergallus · 02/07/2018 21:34

Hope you all have success with it too.

I just emailed “I heard you offer a discount to Healthcare Professionals. I’m an NHS xxx and attach a picture of my ID and link to my entry on the register. I have just started maternity leave and would like a buy a carrier, and would be grateful to know if this discount is still available”.

Got a fairly generic email back, with a code for one-time one product personal use. Put it in the voucher code bit when checking out and sure enough, massive discount applied!

By the way, my actual specialty has absolutely nothing to do with pregnancy, babies etc, so don’t think that was relevant.

I went for the 360 cool mesh, as from past experience I get really hot and sweaty when carrying, and I wanted one suitable from newborn this time as this is going to be my third and my hands are going to be quite full!

I’ve JUST bought a Tula... I could have both though... 😬

Littleblueteacup · 06/07/2018 21:40

I ordered mine a few days ago after seeing your post, and it arrived today, with my free blanket! Discount code gave 70% off just like you said. I'm slightly in shock it was so easy, and arrived so fast. Just waiting for baby to arrive now!

Aspergallus · 06/07/2018 22:36

Littleblueteacup That’s fantastic, I know what you mean, was pretty shocked myself! So good to get such a discount when there’s so much else to buy. Which one did you go for?

OP posts:
Littleblueteacup · 06/07/2018 23:10

I got the Omni 360 cool air mesh, because I imagine I'll get warm carrying baby about. Also hoping to visit my brother in Thailand next year, so it'll come in handy then!

Aspergallus · 07/07/2018 08:36

Great, me too. I’m in Scotland but breast feeding and carrying makes me hot and would rather layer up than start with a heavier carrier.

Just put in an order and the 70% discount worked! Amazing. £47 for a Omni Cool Mesh :)

jaychops · 07/07/2018 13:33

How long did it take you all to get a reply back? I emailed 5 days ago and not had a reply yet!

hotcookie · 07/07/2018 15:10

Foodylicious · 07/07/2018 15:32

Are you sure yours sent jaychops
Have you checked your sent items?

Littleblueteacup · 07/07/2018 16:17

They replied within an hour for me, and that was at 5.30am (baby was playing rib gymnastics and I couldn't sleep).

Aspergallus · 07/07/2018 18:50

My reply came through after a couple of days, but I had contacted them at a strange time at the weekend.

@lostmybaubles that's lovely!

Thanks everyone. I didn't get an automated reply back so I've sent it again, and I've had one now. Hopefully it won't take them too long to reply.

caoraich · 08/07/2018 09:52

Mine arrived yesterday! Just saw this thread too after posting about it on the baby bus thread I'm on. Got the 360 plus changing bag, nursing pillow and some other bits too - saved about £200!

One thing - my confirmation email randomly was in German but I just ran it through Google translate and the code worked fine on the UK site. I sent them a PDF of my GMC certificate so if you don't have a scanner then any professional body certificates should probably work fine too Grin

Hrc152 · 09/07/2018 13:27

Hi all, I am a Babywearing consultant and I work for Ergobaby. Just to let you all know that the scheme which has been referred to is a specific scheme for midwives and HCP who work directly with babies, to be used in a work capacity. Nothing to do with NHS bday! There has been a mix up at HQ in Germany, which is why some healthcare professionals who do not work with babies have successfully been able to order products for personal use, so they will be putting a hold on any open orders to re-evaluate where they are coming from. Sorry to disappoint!

Foodylicious · 09/07/2018 17:31

I did wonder Hrc152
I have had an email today confirming the same
