12 week scan tomorrow and so nervous

Hi all, so I think I am actually just over 13 weeks but have our 12 week scan tomorrow afternoon and feeling so worried. I guess this is normal. But I am also really starting to worry about the screening results, and how long I will have to wait for the results. Has anyone told people straight away after the 12 week scan or waited for the screening results? Thanks everyone x

Best of luck for tomorrow, I get very stressed before every scan - not a pleasant feeling being so out of control, but definitely very normal! I think results are quick (a matter of days) if there are any issues, depending on your area. We didn't hear anything about our results this time around so after a week assumed all was clear - which turned out to be the case as confirmed at 16-week midwife appointment.
I told a few close family pre 12-weeks with DC2, a few more friends post 12-week scan and everyone else after the 20 week scan. Definitely no right or wrong way to go about it, go with whatever you're comfortable with. Keep us posted on how it goes!

It's so hard not to worry about the unknown. My scans in 3 weeks and I'm shitting myself, this pregnancy is already so different to my first which throws everything I 'knew' out of the window.

Good luck for tomorrow, it's a wonderful moment seeing and hearing baby for the first time!

OP if there is anything wrong in any of your maternity tests they tell you asap. So if they notice anything in your scan tomorrow you will be told that day.

Thanks everyone, hopefully all will be ok and that will give me some reassure, but then just got to wait for the screening test results. I guess there is always something else to worry about next. X

Good luck for tomorrow. I'm currently overdue and driving myself mad! But even though everything is ok I still drive myself mad before every appointment. I think it's natural, enjoy your pregnancy as it does fly by!

Where I am you get the results within 3 working days by phone if there is a problem and within a month by post if no concern. So no news is good news here.

Good luck tomorrow, I've got my 20 week scan tomorrow. I'm still nervous but more excited this time.

Hope it went ok

Hi ya, yes it did thanks. Wasn’t saying that yesterday though as nuchal fluid was borderline high so took us in a side room and warned us about abnormalities etc. But had to wait for bloods, they came back today and are fine thankfully. Due 3rd Jan x
