Try not to stress. I've a friend around your size and she has a definite bump and feels plenty of movements. Congratulations by the way!

captainshortie my belly has changed shape and I can feel the uterus, it is a lot firmer than belly.

YerAuntFanny · 02/07/2018 07:11

I was a size 22 when I was pregnant with #2 and although my belly didn't get much bigger as such it did firm up and form a more rounded definite bump shape.

I felt and seen lots of movement.

My best mate is a size 28 when she was pregnant with her first. She said she didn't have a bump but she could feel every movement!

Thanks Ladies, got quite a round belly as it is so hopefully it firms up and looks like a bump x

Oh YerAuntFanny did you see movement too? Did you put much wait on during pregnancy?

YerAuntFanny · 03/07/2018 06:34

Yes Peaches, later on you could see my bump jerking around with little lumps moving across occasionally, pressumably when she had hands/feet/elbows/knees stretched out a bit. When I lay down you could also see a baby outline sticking out and would see it when she rolled over :o

I had pretty severe sickness from about 6 weeks right through until I was on the maternity ward with her plus I made an effort to eat healthier so I was 1lb heavier on the morning she was born than I was at my booking appointment then 2st lighter than pre-pregnancy within the week!

peachesarenom · 03/07/2018 07:20

Wow YerAuntFanny! I'm 15 weeks and have managed not to put any weight on so far. You've really inspired me to try my best not to put any on, I wanna see my belly move! And I want to be two stone lighter, did yoi breastfeed?

YerAuntFanny · 03/07/2018 09:13

You're doing well just try not to focus too much on the weight gain and just concentrate on eating healthier then it'll all fall into place. I'm actually thankful for being so ill in a weird way because it spurred me on to maintain a healthier diet and lose more!

I speak from bitter experience as I gained 4st in my first pregnancy (6 years earlier and i went up to the same weight I was at the end with #2) because I was eating easter eggs by the crate for 2 when you only really need a few 100 calories per day in the last few weeks 😳

And yes I breastfed for 16 months which was a tad awkward with my newly formed 40HH's haha

I'm an 18-20 and have always been apple shaped. At 30 weeks (from about 18 weeks in fact) I've got a definite bump, and now others can feel movements through my tummy. Baby went head down last week and an entire room full of people got to watch the ripples as he turned!

The bump itself is still slightly B-shaped, but it's got that hard feeling to it, and it sits much higher than my pre-pregnancy tummy.

Feeling movements is more related to where your placenta sits than your size. Mine is anterior (across the front of my belly) so it took longer to feel movement, but now I get the full range of kicks, rolls and wriggles.
