I am 16 weeks today and went to the toilet and was pinkish blood. My GP doesn't have an out of your service. I just wondered if anyone else had this. There hasn't been any more but a little worried and will call GP in morning when open

You need to reframe from having baths and using soaps etc down below and no sexual activity at all as infection risk
I’d ring maternity have you a number in your folder just to check your okay ?
I’m sure it’ll be fine but as infection risk you need a check up xx

I had bleeding at 6 weeks, 9 weeks and 13 weeks during my second pregnancy. Everything was fine and no cause was ever identified. Bleeding is actually really common, but I understand it is very scary at the time Thanks

In Glasgow we aren't given maternity notes anymore they use an internal system. So can only call the GO tomorrow. I could probably Google the maternity number for the hospital

Ring 111 ask they’re advice

Sadly I had bleeding in 2 prgancies one turned into sepsis so I’d just get checked xx

I'd go to your GP tomorrow and ask them to refer you for a scan.

If it gets any worse I was advised if I had pain and bleeding to go to A&E.

Cannybebothered · 01/07/2018 20:24

A friend at work a bright red bleed every 4 weeks, from week 4 to quite late on in pregnancy.she went to the early pregnancy unit, just a walk in, not sure if you can just walk in to all of them? Her baby was absolutely fine.

Speaking to two other friends, bled red all through their successful pregnancies. When I say bled I mean spotting.
Think it’s really common and not spoken about enough. I’m only 7 weeks and have had spotting at week 5 and 6 and was beside myself. It’s scary.
Lots of mad google searching generally comes up with reassurance.

Hi did you see anyone yesterday ? Hope your okay ?

mazz9305 · 05/07/2018 10:39

I was 14 weeks 5 days this saturday and when i went to the toilet there was brown discharge, clearly old blood. I went to A and E as I wasn't in my usual area and they told me to go home but come back if it turned to fresh blood. 2am i woke up and the blood was fresh, went back to A and E and they said they couldn't really do anything but got me a scan at the EPAU in the morning. The blood got worse and really heavy through the night with cramping, convinced myself of the worst. However when we had the scan in the morning everything was fine and the baby was kicking away. They did say to me that this far on it is more often than not for another reason than a MC and often can't be explained. I know it's terrifying when it happens but try and keep positive. let us know how you get on.

Mhcb · 05/07/2018 13:49

Sorry I did get checked out by the midwife they didn't scan just gave me anti d injection as they told me I am rhesus negative and to call straight away of hapena again

Mhcb · 05/07/2018 21:13
