17 days to go... and really can't come quick enough now! Been up about 400 times to pee, lower back pain, hip pain, and I've finally caved and come downstairs and just watching tv willing the night away!

Anyone else?

Up with 9 week old twins. I remember being awake at night a fair bit while pregnant but it's nothing like this. But on the upside my babies are super cute.

0310Star · 01/07/2018 02:29

ahh bless them! I honestly can't wait until she's here, the impatience has really kicked in.
I'm not at all concerned about being up with a baby, at least then it feels like a good reason to be awake! I'm probably the worlds worst person for being ill/uncomfortable, I just can't hack it at all!
Completely ready to feel a bit more human again and to have my body back

Yeah up feeding my 3 week old.
I'm finding the broken sleep ok, I too was weeing literally tens of times a night while pregnant and I feel like it was good prep!

ClareB83 · 01/07/2018 02:36

You get your body back in some ways but in others you don't eg my body will never be quite the same, I only breastfed for a little while but I'm still producing milk and I spend so much time with two babies on me I feel like a couch.

But sex is better without a massive bump, I can eat what I like and after the initial healing I am less achey. The side effects like swelling are gone too.

This is the first night I've been up this much and been this uncomfortable (hoping this could be a sign... but most likely it's just wishful thinking!!)
I'm just amazed at how uncomfortable later pregnancy is. With this being my first I guess you just don't realise how hard the end can be?
May not be helped by my predicted fair size baby and my 5ft2 frame 🙄

Oh the back ache I don't miss that and trying to turn over with that big tummy I completely sympathise!
I know what you mean feeling like at least if you are up in the night with a newborn there is a reason but soon your little bubba will be here and all the discomfort will be gone!! This heat probably doesn't help either!!
My baby now 7 weeks and decided we will feed almost every hour tonight!! HmmSmile

0310Star · 01/07/2018 02:54

@1nina the back pain is like a lower back achey type feeling that I've had for the past couple days, I'm starting to feel a bit of pressure 'down there' so thinking all this could just mean she's just moved down a bit.
Currently killing time by watching the highland midwife lol

I was really uncomfortable and tired and bloated. Thought it was normal esp with twins. Turned out to be pre eclampsia - caught by my midwives at routine check up. Go to all your appointments!!

1nina · 01/07/2018 02:59

I just had this terrible back ache that started few hours after getting into bed... it wasnt as in the day but at night was so uncomfortable I often ended up downstairs watching telly! Ahh love that program and makes it all seem more real seeing ladies with their new baby's knowing that will be you soon... exciting times!!

1nina · 01/07/2018 03:00

I remember thinking 'I wonder what my birth story will be like!' Smile

0310Star · 01/07/2018 03:12

I honestly can't wait! So excited to see what my baby looks like Smile
Don't worry, all appointments attended! I seem to just have the occasional uncomfortable day depending on where she's laying, I'm pretty sure this is probably down to the family bbq we went to yesterday where I was sat on a really uncomfortable dining chair for hours!!

Coming up on 3.45 am and still wide awake. I have 8 days to go and currently running through everything I had to do to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. I don't think I've slept properly in about 2 weeks. :( if I'm not up every 45mins to pee I'm up with LO kicking the bed or my hips in agony.

0310Star · 01/07/2018 03:49

@RosieCotton awful isn't it! I've been up since 1.30, May TRY and go back to sleep in a minute and hope it works.
I've always been a very deep and long sleeper and dreading bedtime is horrible.
I just keep thinking to myself that I've done almost 38 weeks, I can do a couple more!
I hope your baby makes an appearance for you soon

I hope you managed to get back asleep. I gave up in sleep and ended up repacking my hospital bags and doing the laundry I finally drifted off at about 6 am but my DS woke me at 7.15. Lol. I'm hoping ill be used to these long nights when LO arrives. Lol.

I hope your LO makes an appearance soon for you. The heat and last few weeks are dragging but just think soon ypur LO will be here and it will all be worth it. Xx

Phyllispontypandy · 01/07/2018 18:15

15 days to go for me, section arranged for 16th July. This heat is killing me off! Just can't bear it. Hard enough to sleep nevermind when I have a toddler to get to bed first 😱 Sorry for being a moaning Mary. Just very ready to have this baby now!

0310Star · 01/07/2018 18:46

I ended up going back to bed at 4.30 and got up at 8.30, feeling pretty shattered today!
The heat today has been a bit much too, I've not found it toooo bad so far, but some days it's not nice at all!
I'm certainly ready for her to make an appearance!

Don't worry about moaning, this is a safe place to moan with everyone in the same boat lol
