Pregnant again following a miscarriage

Hi all, I had a missed miscarriage in March. I am now pregnant again 5 weeks today, instead of feeling over the moon i am terrified of it happening again. I am convinced I’ll go to my scan and they’ll be no heartbeat. I am feeling exhausted sore boobs but I had all of that last time. I know it’s just a matter of waiting but it is so hard.

Hello. I had an early miscarriage at the end of March and am pregnant again, I will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I feel exactly the same, I'm over the moon that I am pregnant again but I am also terrified. I went for an early scan due to bleeding and saw there was nothing so am also terrified the same will happen again. I don't really have any advice but just wanted you to know that you aren't alone.

It's awful isn't it this waiting period. I'm trying not to be negative but I can't help it.
I just can't help to feel like it's going to happen again.

I totally know how you feel too, I had a miscarriage at 12 wks in January and I am 11wks today with a private scan booked in for tomorrow. It feels as though I’m. Or letting myself feel happy this time because I’m so worried, I am constantly checking for blood, worried about my symptoms dropping and generally pretty anxious ... but a few thoughts that help me through;

Miscarriage (as horrible as it is) is common for first time pregnancies

The odds of a success second pregnancy are in my favour

It’s ok not to be ok and lots of people worry when they have been in a similar position

It’s ok to still be sad about my first miscarriage

And ... as others have said to me.... think of the progression in small chunks, each week is nearer to us having our baby :) take each day as it comes because today we are still pregnant

big hugs.

I had a miscarriage in my first pregnancy. Into my 2nd now...had a small bleed 2 days ago - went into a and e for a scan - little heartbeat. Nurses were incredible.

If you are at all worried - get yourself checked out - they have seen it all before and heard it all before - nothing is a silly question. I was an absolute mess the other day.

Been told to rest and signed off work - just listen to your body.

Roll on 12 weeks with this one :) Im wishing my life away :)

I hear you sadly. I lost my daughter in September, she was stillborn which has devastated our lives. Found out 3 weeks ago I’m pregnant, early scan today and they can’t find a heartbeat so having to go back to see what’s happening. Safe to say I’m not in the best of ways. I hope you get good
News sooner rather than later. It’s the waiting Sad

I'm 19 weeks with my 4th pregnancy, I have 1dc. Currently sitting here feeling him/her flutter inside. The dread/expectation that something is going to happen again is starting to go still check every time I go to the loo though I hope that everything will go well for you this time.
