More brown spotting

So, I’m 6+5 today, earlier in this pregnancy I had spotting.. brown/red/brown for about a week, maybe a bit less.

I had a reassurance scan last Tuesday, where a heartbeat was seen and my uterus was clear of any blood.

This morning after a week or so of no spotting, there is brown again.. has anyone got any idea what might be causing it? I have a scan on Friday anyway.. and I know they can’t do anything if the worst is happening.. but I really wasn’t expecting it.

Have had two recent MMCs but never any bleeding prior to this pregnancy. Have also seen a heartbeat before at 7+5 and went on to lose it, so I’m very aware I’m far from the ‘safe zone’.

Is this likely to be bad news, or is it still anyone’s guess at the moment?

Hi op, I'm sure I've seen you post on the due in Feb 19 thread but didn't want to leave you hanging. Is it a lot? I'm brown means old so could be anything? Irritation maybe? If you're not having any pains etc I think that sounds promising. Fingers crossed all is OK xx

I’m clinging onto the hope that brown is old, but I’m just concerned that on Tuesday they said there was no blood in my uterus but now I’m spotting... I suppose it’s easy to miss some on an ultrasound..?

I will call my EPU on Monday, I know the department is shut on a weekend so I can’t actually do anything until then.

I had exactly the same. It carried on until about third trimester. She's now 6 years old and never stops! They told me once they'd seen the heartbeat there was a 90% chance of a successful pregnancy. That's a great chance it'll be fine but it was so scary at the time.

I had this with DS1. Spotting on and off. He's 19 now. Try not to worry, which I know is hard. As long as you don't have pain I think you'll be ok.

I've had this throughout I did have a Uti at one point which may have been causing it around 7 weeks. Then went on to have some at 12 weeks 2 separate occasions then most recent was a week ago. All 3 were bright red blood, I went straight to the midwife heard his heartbeat when it happened most recently. I'm going to be 20 week Monday not sure whats causing it but hang on in there I felt exactly the same and never thought I'd have got this far best of luck to you
