Don't remember getting these when pg with DD. Tell me its just ligaments or something and I am not about to go into labout. Have been having them on and off for about 5 days now.

Hi Bodkin, don't want to worry you but do get it checked, just for your own peace of mind. Especially as you have experience of what early labour feels like.
I had this with DS1 at 29 weeks and it was suspected early labour which they managed to stop with drugs. He still arrived at 35 weeks though!
My pains were more uncomfortable than Braxton Hicks and I had to breathe through them.
Good luck, I hope everything is ok x

Also, I didn't have this at all with DS2

I've had BHs which were that bad, but I do agree it might be a good idea jsut to get checked out.

Bodkin · 25/05/2007 10:27

Thanks for your responses. They're not really like BHs though, i.e. they are lower down, accompanied by a bit of lower back ache... God it sounds a bit ominous doesn't it. But really very irregular - maybe only once or twice a day and lasting about 2 mins (which wasn't how early labour started last time)

Bodkin- get it checked hun.

Chooster · 25/05/2007 12:16

I've replied on the other thread too Bodkin - get it checked just to be on the safe side. At least then you can relax a bit if you been seen and the mid-wives are not concerned.

Bodkin · 25/05/2007 14:57

Well, they have subsided now, so will stop panicking (until I get the next one!) I'm going to keep track of how many i get and how long they are lasting and mention it to my MW at my appt next week, unless things get considerably worse.
