Mastitis when pregnant?

I'm 28 weeks pregnant. Started feeling flu-ey last night - sore throat, aching etc. Got worse in the night - woke up with one sore boob behind the nipple. It's gradually been getting worse throughout the day, I feel like I did when I had mastitis with my son but I'm pregnant and obviously not breast feeding.
Anyone know if you can get mastitis while pregnant - I've taken paracetamol but feel like I've run over by a bus.

Yes, afraid so! Get seen today if at all possible - GP or walk-in centre. I wouldn't want to wait until Monday to start on antibiotics if it is mastitis.

Hope you feel better soon.

I honestly thought mastitius was worse than childbirth! Couldn't even stand up, I definitely left it too late to get seen please do go and get sorted! Hope you feel better soon!

Oh god how awful! I'm leaking colostrum at 28 weeks and boobs sometimes feeling hard in places, so I've been wondering whether blocked ducts are possible. I agree, mastitis is awful and given you've had it before, you know how it feels, I'd try massage in a hot bath etc and get checked if it doesn't improve quickly. Flowers
