Hey yall ive been wondering what's evreyones fave face cream and body moisturiser when pregnant? I've been really iffy about putting stuff on my skin as I've heard a lot of things are not to use in pregnancy :) x

Not pregnant but at the moment I'm using Lanolips All Over Everywhere Multi Cream which you can get from FeelUnique. It's made from stuff extracted from sheep's wool so not one for vegans, but it's made my skin absolutely glow and is so hydrating. The ingredients seem pretty natural and it's used also as a baby moisturizer so I doubt it would have bad stuff in it.

I'm using Aveeno. I've mostly heard you should avoid perfumed moisturiser.

I have started using coconut oil on my body as heard is really good, and the one from aldi is a good price. Also palmers body lotion is good x

Palmers have a really nice moisturizing suncream too!

Why?

I think it's because your skin is more sensitive during pregnancy so you're more likely to have a reaction to it.

Oh phew. I’ve been working through pretty much every Christmas gift set body butter I’ve ever been given to try and avoid stretch marks! No adverse reactions that I’ve noticed.

I treated myself to a bottle of the Neal’s Yard Bee Lovely lotion. It’s wonderful. It has honey and orange essential oil in it, smells delightful and not as heavy as palmers/aveeno.

This article is quite useful:

I spent ages looking online on company websites to find pregnancy safe products when I was expecting. A lot of them had faq sections which often mentioned whether their products were ok in pregnancy.

Boots do a nice gift set of lovely smelling products - I received one as a gift and wanted some more but they don’t seem to do them individually which is a shame.

If you want to splash out on a treat look at Liz Earle, Neals Yard and Cowshed.

As for which essential oils are not suitable the main one I remember was Clary sage and rosemary. This article has more advice though:
