Is this normal?

I've felt like it all day and feel my heart racing quicker than normal and just generally feel weak & shakey.

I'm still on very high progesterone dose as it's an ivf pregnancy and I'm wondering if I should start reducing my dose ready for stopping completely next week.

Any advice appreciated..

I think you need to call your midwife or GP straight away. Have you had enough fluids/ food today? Your blood pressure may be very low. Progesterone dilates blood vessels so can cause low BP, this combined with the hot weather and dehydration may make it worse.

It sounds like you should get checked over though.

Hope you feel better soon Smile

Hi OP, congrats! I was on progesterone for 12 weeks after ivf and it made me feel rotten. Your blood pressure can vary anyway in early pregnancy which often made me feel weak and dizzy, and as a pp said, progesterone can make it worse.

Best thing is to make sure you drink plenty of water, eat little and often (dont let your bloody sugar get to low) and rest when you need to.

Are you coming off the progesterone cold turkey? I was weaned off mine gradually, although I was on 4 diff types as I have issues absorbing it. Are you on pessaries, unkections, etc? X

I'm on 400mg 3 x a day which is the max dose as I keep bleeding from weeks 5 to 8. I was told to go cold turkey at week 12 which is next Friday but it's so scary.

I have been drinking a lot but maybe not do much today.

Everything is such a worry isn't it! We've been trying for this pregnancy for so long I'm an anxious wreck :)

You need to get checked out - just in case.

In the meantime it is HOT today so fluids, plenty of ice, cool off and lie down.
