Antenatal Swimming Classes

Hi,

I am struggling to find an antenatal swimming class and wondered if anyone could recommend one please?

I live in Welwyn Garden City but work in London in the City, so am looking in both Hertfordshire and the City/north east London.

Do you mean actual swimming lessons or aqua aerobics?

The only public swimming pool I know of in the City is Golden Lanes and it doesn't look as though they offer anything specifically ante natal.

You may need to look at private gym membership otherwise - the Nuffield at Cannon Street has a really nice pool but is £££.

I haven’t found anything on Aquanatal either - that’s probably why!

I’m looking for actual antenatal classes. Like pregnancy yoga/fitness in the water.

They seem to be few and far between unfortunately.

In case anyone else is looking in a Hertfordshire, I just found out from my community midwife that she runs a class in Hertford at Hartham(?) leisure centre, Wednesdays at 9am.

Not an ideal time but apparently we should be allowed to take time off work for it as it counts as an antenatal session.
