Early pregnancy appointments

So I've an appointment for my first blood test on Monday. Then on Friday I have an appointment with a midwife (booking appt?). Then I have an appointment a week later at the EPU. Then the scan another week later (13 weeks). That seems like an awful lot of appointments! What is the EPU one for?

Have you had any issues previously relating to pregnancy?

That seems more than standard, have you had any issues in this pregnancy so far (eg bleeding) or any issues in a previous pregnancy?

I saw a midwife for my booking in appointment at 11 weeks (where she took the bloods) and then my 12 week scan.

No problems so far in this one! Last one was a breech delivery, but I can't see how seeing EPU at 12 weeks will do anything with regards to that for this one?

That does seem odd then. I agree, I can't see how EPU is relevant to a previous breech! You could give them a ring and ask, presumably they have details of at least what the appointment is for (eg a scan).

I had booking, bloods and scan separately but nothing at EPU so I agree with PPs call and find out what it's about. And then tell us because I'm nosy Grin
