Dealing with a nasty cold

Hi all, last night I came down with a nasty cold, I been up almost of the night tossing and turning, slight headache but feeling so congested and just generally awful.
I cannot take any time off work as this week and next as they are crucial in my business and I'd rather just go in and do what needs to be done than take time off and worry about the repercussions.

What's everyone's best tips for dealing with a cold? I'm going to take paracetamol but apart from that I have no other idea on how to deal with this :( (WHY CANT THEY MAKE A PREGNANCY DAY AND NIGHT NURSE WAHHHH)

Get yourself a humidifier for the bedroom. Less sniffing, coughing etc. You'll sleep much better. And it'll come in handy for the baby too. Wish I knew how good they were when i was pg.

Just at the end of a cold myself @TopWarrior really struggled especially with sleep. I found sitting over a warm bowl of hot water which had a teaspoon of vapour rub in it inhaling the stram really eased my symptoms. Hope ypu feel better soon.

Someone in my office has one of these for when they have a cold and are congested - www.amazon.co.uk/Medisure-MS05475-Steam-Inhaler-Cup/dp/B004GK0R2G/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_121_t_2/261-8535237-8167046?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforum-21&refRID=8JCWXXYV002DZ90SN3Q0

She got a few odd looks when she first brought it in but lots of people now think it's a great idea to keep at your desk for when you're unwell.

The last cold I had while pregnant I just made sure I drank lots of fluids and kept lots of tissues to hand. I tried not to take any painkillers (though was sorely tempted!)
