hi, I'm 12 weeks pregnant with baby no 2.
In the morning I look quite normal, no bodily changes etc.
After I've eaten my tea/dinner I get chronic discomfort and by the time I go to bed I look about 6 months pregnant.
It seems to make no difference what i eat for tea/dinner, how big the portion is or anything. I always eat very slowly now to try and minimise the effects but.....

Does this happen to anyone else?

ps. I'm not exagerating about the 6 months btw, DH says the same.

Mckenzie..

I complained about the same thing when I was 12 weeks pregnant...

Although it does get easier i.e. less uncomfortable I have found that even now at 36 weeks I am noticably smaller in the morning than the evening... afraid it's wind and bloating, seems to collect during the day.

I now do the toe test, in the morning I can see my toes - by the time 6pm rolls round they are a mere memory..

It certainly happens to me. All that slowed down gut motility. I blow up like a football. And sadly it just seems to get worse, I'm now 23/40.

well thanks girls (sort of anyway). At least I know it's not just me but heck, the thought of it happening for the next 28 weeks and maybe even getting worse.....

Was the same for me - clothes that fitted in the morning.... forget it by the evening. Same now at 32 weeks - ok in the morning, stretched to bursting in the evening! Aaargh!!

Me too, if someone stuck a pin in me right now I'd fly round the room

Xavia · 13/08/2004 21:25
