122 heartbeat at 12 week scan

Hi,

I was just wondering if anybody got a heartbeat in the 120s at their 12 week scan.

I got 122 and the midwife didn't say anything about it, I only noticed it in my file when I left!

Now I'm panicking that people seem to be getting 160s when I research :(

I know the normal rate is 120-160 but should I be concerned that mine is on the very lower end if the scale!

Thanks in advance

The actual fetal heart rate wasn't recorded on my 12 week scan - it just says "normal". In fact it has only been recorded on my 24 week appointment even though it has been listened to at every appointment I've had. Then it was 122.

The midwives and sonographer have difficulty getting measurements as baby likes moving unless it is sticking a limb into me.

I was told it speeds up a bit up as the weeks go on up to a certain point (by midwife at 16 weeks) rate was 138 at 16 weeks and is up to 155 at 24 weeks. They don't normally tell you the heart rate till 24 weeks anyway I think, it was only because I was worried that she even checked for it at 16 weeks.

Ah right ok, that makes me feel a tad better! The only reason I knew it was 122 at 12 weeks was because the midwife wrote it in my notes.

Should probably try to stop panicking as it is technically sitting within the normal range!
