Final countdown impatience

Is anyone else feeling extremely impatient now you're nearing the end?
I'm 37 weeks tomorrow with my first and am feeling like this pregnancy is never ending!! Everyday tasks are becoming difficult, but worst of all is a persistent restless leg... just 1! Making me think my darling daughter is squishing something perhaps which is why it may only be one leg.
Saturday I had a meltdown as I've definitely reached the point of being utterly fed up.

Any tips for getting through the last couple of weeks?

Absolutely I feel your pain. I’m 38+1 today. I’ve been looking out for every sign possible that labour is near and hoping today is the day every day since 37 weeks. I want this baby out ASAP! I love being pregnant but my god I’m
So over it now. I’m uncomfortable and tired and so big!!

Spanglyprincess1 · 25/06/2018 13:43

I'm almost 39weeks...he needs to leave now! so feeling your pain.
I have hip pain when walking or driving and live in the middle of nowhere so going stir crazy

0310Star · 25/06/2018 13:53

Isn't it just so frustrating!! I've had a horrible pregnancy and to be honest I've hated pretty much every minute of it so I keep telling myself that I've done 37 weeks hating it so a few more will be easy, but I think it's because the end is soooo near it's even harder!
I was convinced I was going into labour Friday night, had consistent Braxton Hicks until 3.30am which has never happened before but it's just made me think that it could be a sign she's preparing to make her appearance...
If I go over I honestly think il be the worst to live with!!

I'm with you, I'm 37 weeks on Wednesday and I'm done! I've had a good pregnancy to be fair but the last few weeks have been a struggle. I can't get comfortable and feel like a lump Blush Really hope I don't go over!
Good luck ladies, I hope you're not kept waiting Smile

0310Star · 25/06/2018 15:20

@LoobeeLou people told me the last few weeks were back but I didn't realise how uncomfortable it would be! Feel like a whale!

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow as well! The last month or so is tough, I really struggled last time.

Part of me wants it to hurry up because I'm uncomfortable and knackered and fed up of the heartburn etc... but then I'll really miss being pregnant. DH doesn't want any more and we probably won't be able to anyway (kids are expensive!), so knowing I'll never be pregnant again is a bit sad for me, because I've mostly enjoyed it.

Plus, this is DC2 so I'll have two of them to deal with! He's due on the day DD breaks up from preschool as well ShockGrin

0310Star · 25/06/2018 21:54

@CoodleMoodle awww that's a shame! Although I'm not sure il ever agree to being pregnant again anyway lol once is enough for me!
I've been in a lot of pain this evening, it's either bad Braxton Hicks/real contractions or trapped wind... I'm not really sure!
As soon as I stand up or sit up it's awful period type pain in my lower stomach and tightening and has been going on since half 5 this eve, doubled over in pain! If it's still bad by the morning il give triage a call I think... just feel a bit clueless as I have no idea what contractions are supposed to feel like!!

0310Star how are things? Anything happening still? I’ve had enough of this heat. I feel like a cow. A waddling, sweating, cow ☹️ Hurry up baby!!

Winterfellismyhome · 26/06/2018 14:53

39 weeks today and apart from feeling like ive taken a swift kick to the vagina, no signs at all. Also feeling gigantic. Good luck everyone 🤞

0310Star · 26/06/2018 15:46

Unfortunately all thoughts that it could have been contractions were dashed this morning when I woke up completely normal 🙄
Still having some twitches every now and again so hoping that's a good sign!

I've decided that being heavily pregnant during a heatwave is a REALLY bad idea...

Also 37 weeks tomorrow and today, I've just wanted to cry all day, especially when I think that there may be another 5 weeks to go!!

I'm just so damn uncomfortable - went and did the food shop earlier and it took me an hour. I cried when I got back to the car because I was exhausted.

My feet are so so so swollen and SPD is killing.

But.. it will all be over soon and hopefully my body will regain something of its previous strengths!

0310Star · 26/06/2018 16:34

@lifechangesforever oh bless you! I think that with the end being so close it's makes it worse we have you know it can be over anytime and baby will be here... what id do to have a crystal ball 😂

I just got sent to hospital with potential pre clampsia. Turned out just watwr infection so home again and still no sign of labour ...... frustrated

ClangerTwanger · 26/06/2018 17:01

That’s a shame nothing came of it. 12 days til my due date. I swear if I go over I will scream. This is my 3rd baby and I got to 39 weeks with both of my previous pregnancies. This time feels different. Nothing is happening at all!!

ClangerTwanger · 26/06/2018 17:30

Spanglyprincess1 glad it wasn’t preeclampsia. We’re all nearly there. Let’s hope these last weeks fly by 😐

Lymphy · 26/06/2018 17:40

can i join in for a moan, im 38 weeks tomorow and done in, ive been horrible to my husband (actually vile) then cried because i felt so gulity, hes understanding thank God, my feet look like trotters, i cant reach to shave my legs and pretty much look like Mr Tumnus from the waist down, im massive and sweaty and just generally fuming. Im in a catch 22 as im desperate to finish my uni assigments 5000 words in total beofre baby arrives but at the same time i want them evicted !

lifechangesforever · 26/06/2018 19:04

@Lymphy I could have written that post - been horrible to DH too and I have my end of module assignment that's not due until September but I want it done and gone before she arrives - gives me a break before my next module in October. My feet are like big purple balloons too.

0310Star · 26/06/2018 19:44

Everyone I know that was pregnant at the same time have all had their babies now too... makes me even more frustrated!!

Anyone that's had babies before, what should we be looking out for? Lots of twinges here as well as the pains I've had twice now, cramps in my lower back... PRAYING THEY ARE SIGNS!!!!
