Has anyone taken cold and flu tablets this late on? I have two important events the next two days that I can't miss and feel rotten.

You are allowed to take straight paracetamol. So buy some of that and take it.

You are allowed to have 200mg caffeine a day. So you can have 2 cups of instant coffee.

I wouldn't take cold and flu tablets as they have other stuff in them apart from paracetamol and caffeine which maybe harmful to the fetus.

If you still feel bad then you are going to have to call things off. You don't want to go into labour before 37 weeks so take it easy.

No, you cannot take cold and flu tablets during pregnancy. You could speak to your GP but I'm pretty sure that's what they would tell you.

Paracetamol, hot honey and lemon, throat sweets like halls soothers are OK. I used Vicks and Olbas Oil during my pregnancy too, although I am not sure they are technically "allowed" but I found them necessary and they don't enter the blood stream.
