Hi,
Wondered if anyone else has this, cant remember it hurting in my other two pg when the babs moved. But this time.. most movements do hurt.. (not if he is just kicking) he is a very active baby, I cant even describe how it hurts it just does.
I am 32+4weeks
Why does it hurt, is it to do with the sie of the baby and wanting to be so avtive in a small space!!

i don't know but both mine were excrutiating when they moved... and if you see picks of me when i was preg you can guess why, lol! i don't have the right body shape for pregnancy

maybe you have less water this time to cushion his movements?

My fluid levels are normal with this one..(with my first I only had a cm tbh though movements with her could have hurt and I have forgotton she is nearly 11yrs) But ds who is 3next month didnt hurt, infact he was a lazy baby in the womb, from what I can remember this one is the most active of the three

Dont get me wrong I love the movements and feeling him move.. just wondered why they are painful!

twoplusone - I have some pain under my right rib and top of bump. Feels like baby is pushing against my rib. Sometimes it's really painful. Also sometimes feels like he's catching something when he moves. Also have tenderness in this area and sometimes get stabbing sensation.

MW suggested that it might be musclar pain.

Normal kicking isn't painful, just specifically when he moves in this area. It's now really painful. Am now 39+2 and have had this for 3-4 weeks.

HTH.

Hiya - I had some major pain a week ago, all over my bump, but particularly when baby moved and I still have 'special' pain on the right as you described. Went into hospital as I thought perhaps I'd gone into labour it was so painful, but they reckoned it was/is SPD. Very odd I thought, as I'd had SPD with DS and that was only in the groin/pelvic area, not so high up. Loads of rest - handing DS off to childminder and DH - and loads of co-dydramol have helped a great deal.

I'd ring your MW and/or GP and/or labour unit considering your dates and degree of pain you're suffering. Never hurts to have a professional check these things out!!
