Eggo hope our night wasn’t too awful & you got some rest. That sounds really tough - a friend of mine had labour pains on and off for a few days before her baby arrived too - it was v quick when it happened (2nd baby mind). Hope you & DH decided what to do.

Morning everyone! Due date for me today but no sign of baby anytime soon! Going for reflexology this morning and hoping that will start something off.

Thank you! I'm having to be induced later on today as baby has had two patches of reduced movements this week and doctor thinks it for the best.

I'm 2cm dilated and I've lost my plug. Bubs is also 2/5 engaged, so all looking good.

Hi all...can I join? I'm due 9th July so 39+1...first baby.

I am so fed up! Not even at due date yet and so impatient for this baby to arrive. Luckily it's head down and deeply engaged...getting lots of Braxton Hicks and 'fanny daggers' but nothing else exciting. This heat has been unbearable but thankfully today feels a bit cooler. Good luck to all those also waiting!

Good luck for today Lightening. I was induced for my first and it was fine. Good to know that it is getting going & at least you won’t have to count contractions.

Welcome Babba! Here’s hoping baby will be a before due date, although everyone on here seems to be going overdue. Let’s hope you buck the trend.

Still no change. A show but that is it. I’d bet my last £20 that he is induced at the start of next week.

Hi babba you sound just like me - really impatient - I’m due 8 July but going in tomorrow to discuss what to do about breech baby, and hoping to be scheduled for a section v soon.

Due on the 12th July and seriously suffering in this heat! I want them out now!! This is my second so I'm not particularly nervous about labour, I just don't want to be this uncomfortable any more. Anyone as miserable as me

Yep becbobs right there with you. It’s my second too & i’m too hot &pretty fed up already. At least I’m on mat leave and not stuck in my office which is like a greenhouse.

I'm due to be induced on Friday. I'm so nervous, this is my first and I really don't know what to expect

Hi Aquarius - I cope by having a fan that follows me but I'm sure my poor little boy is bored to tears by me doing everything I can to avoid going outside Still, keeping my fingers crossed that the heat encourages baby out!

I also have a little plug in fan that follows me everywhere. Feet in a bucket of cold water helps too. Oh and wetting a muslin and putting it in the freezer for a while then putting round your neck/on your chest.

I've seen reports that it's set to continue until well into August I don't know which will be worse, being heavily pregnant in it or trying to keep a newborn cool...winter baby next time

Yup, my son was born in late January and it was so much easier than this! Add to the pregnancy the fact I'm a redhead that really doesn't cope well with the heat at the best of times and you can see why I'm feeling so sorry for myself

I was apparently born during a heatwave and my mum says it wasn't fun having to cuddle a baby (especially since I had colic and refused to be put down) but my theory is that I can at least put a baby down to cool down and a rocking chair for the baby to be soothed in! And hopefully all the hip, back, rib and pelvic pain will resolve itself...

*I have a rocking chair...

I had my little girl last night after the induction. Started at 2 and she was here by 9.30.

I've had some cramping overnight and a bloody show but things have settled down a bit this morning, hoping it's a sign it won't be long!

Had my little boy yesterday! Scarily quick labour and surgery after bjt were doing ok :).

Oh congratulations Spangly & Lightening, that is lovely news! I hope neither of you are too sore and that the babies are doing well.

Congratulations to those who have had their little ones - I hope you are loving every minute!

Now for the rest of us to evict our little blighters...

My baby arrived in the night on the 4th. Waters broken (ARM) but unassisted delivery and was very fast. Only had a slight tear that didnt need stitching... just a bit sore and tired. Baby is totally fine I think shes absolutely gorgeous!

Congrats to everyone who has delivered so far and good luck to you all whove got it to come!

I'm 37+3 today. No signs of anything yet! Finish work tomorrow and can't wait!

I hope things get moving for the rest of you guys waiting. Its the worst part when you're overdue so I really feel for you all.

He finally arrived at 1.16 this morning! Delighted with our wee peach. Congratulations to all the ladies who have delivered & to those who are still waiting.
