Soooo confused please help

I’ve been to early pregnancy unit today to have a internal scan to find out I’m only about 3 weeks & 6 days so could not find anything on the scan as of yet ☹️ But they did find a ovarian cyst so they testing me for eptopic pregnancy cause they have seen the cyst n want to rule out what they think is a cysts isn’t eptopic has anyone else had this also I’m now being told by a friend that a cyst can cause positive pg test but I’m defo getting pg symptoms my heads all over the place someone please help me 😢 xx

I’ve never heard of a cyst giving a false positive. I used to have ovarian cysts (unknown side effect of my pill) and didn’t get a positive test until I was actually pregnant.

They won’t see anything on a scan until you’re further along. I think they can maybe see things at 6 weeks, but definitely at 8 weeks.

It’s good that they are checking for an ectopic, fx it’s not and you have a healthy pregnancy 💐
