Yes with my 4th. Perfectly fine with my first three. I didn't know it was even a thing, it but then everything weird that could happen happened in that pregnancy. I think my hormones just went haywire.

Yes, both times. Partly circumstantial and partly hormonal. Didn't feel I could tell anyone IRL but did confide in midwife and a counsellor this time. Felt so bad about not being happily pregnant. It's definitely a thing.

Haven't watched the video, but thanks for the thread.

Yes I did with my second, really knocked the wind out of me as I’d felt fine with my first

It's shocking that this isn't better known- It's very common. But most people (including professionals) only know about pnd.

Yes! I was crying constantly and felt extremely low around 23 weeks, wasn't coping at all. Should have sought help but thought I was wasting their time.

If anyone else reads this thread and feels depressed, please speak to your midwife :-) they want to help :-)

I'm feeling like this and I'm 8 weeks. Felt like I was put on this earth to be a mother but I have felt so sad whilst pregnant but other times so happy. The guilt I feel about it aswell ...Glad to know other people felt like this too

I have suffered with depression in the past, but for my first pregnancy I was fine. This pregnancy however, I've had some really bad days/weeks where its really resurfaced.

Second trimester I was ok, but first and third is when I've been bad. The pregnancy hormones really don't help either!!

I hope you guys all feel better soon and get the support you need

Like a switch at 25 weeks, I just suddenly started having suicidal thoughts

18 and having my first DC I was very depressed. I had moved out of my DM after my A levels. I moved in with my bf and his mother. She "worked on me" while I was vulnerable and scared. I had no money so she would buy "her baby things. I was simply a vessel. Even after we moved out, she made things difficult. Was all over DD. And eventually I was diagnosed with PND.
My second DC was easier. I knew what to expect and kept my MIL at arms length. I was married as well and felt more settled. My frame of mind was much better too.

Ducking hell witchmoon that sounds awful. Glad you’re in a better place now x

I still hold a lot of resentment but I'm much better now. It helps that my DH is lovely.

I know how u feel my SIL is starting to be that way giving advice on my parenting choices does my head in even resorted to ringing a chemist to ask if they had different flavour medicine and that I could ring the out of hours doctor to get a prescription! Rrr.
I was also depressed in my 1 st pregnancy at pregnant at 18 although it was because my ex was abusive, thankfully rid of him know.

The only thing I will say about when you've had depression before , every time u feel low even just a bit you worry that your depression is back
