What does a miscarriage feel like?

Although I’ve lost, they’ve always been MMCs...

I always thought spontaneous miscarriages hurt... am I wrong? Or does it not hurt straight away?

Basically I’m 5+4, started brown spotting on Tuesday evening, and today it’s red and heavier - no clots as yet. I’m having weird pulling sensations highish on my left side, more uncomfortable than painful though.

I’ve kind of resigned myself to the fact that I’m miscarrying.. but is this what it starts like?

Sorry to hear this is happening, Have you been for a scan yet?
With mine I felt like I was having period pains to begin with and I had pains in my legs with it. Then the emotional side of it of course.
I hope it's not the worst for you but just try to rest and stay positive xx

They won’t scan as I’m not 6 weeks yet.. I’ve got the midwife on Monday though.

Trying to be positive without getting my hopes up, if that makes sense?
