Spotting for a week any hope?

I’ve had light spotting for coming onto a week. I’m 6-7 weeks pregnant.
Is there any hope?
I’ve rang my local pregnancy assessment clinic and they have gave me an appointment for next week. They said spotting usually isn’t a worry if it’s one off but they seem to be concerned because it has persisted.
I’m still feeling sick and tired. If that means anything.

Inthink at this stage it’s hard to tell and it’s a waiting game for the EPU to check you out. Sorry I know that’s not easy to hear. I had spotting when I was pregnant in late August last year and it turned into a miscarriage and then I’ve had spotting on and off (some some bigger bleeds) the whole of this pregnancy and I’m currently 37+5!

It could be implantation bleeding, irritated cervix or a haematoma and baby could be fine.

Hopefully you get good news next week xx

Spotting on its own is very common and doesn't necessary indicate that anything is wrong. Feeling sick and tired is par for the course when you're pregnant, particularly in the first trimester. Your symptoms sound pretty normal to me.

Thank you. The early pregnancy clinic said it was worrying the spotting had been consistent for nearly a week now. So they will scan me. So now I’m thinking the worst.
I have heard it may be a good thing to still have pregnancy symptoms.
Such a worry Sad

Hi am new here and just found out I am pregnant 4 weeks very early days, had brown spotting then some bleeding yesterday and today but not enough to fill a pad in a day and night.has anyone experienced this?test is still positive and getting more pronounced day by day.dont know if that is an indication

BellaBash · 21/06/2018 21:53

Ho had spotting/browny discharge at around 6/7 weeks. Told not to worry. I paid for a scan and got to see the heart beat (previous missed miscarriage at 12 week scan, 4 months prior to this, so was a little worried).

At 14 weeks, gush of red blood that went on for hours. Scan showed a subchorionic Haematoma - which apparently is a common reason for bleeding in pregnancy.

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and still spotting. Recent scan showed the Haematoma had gone but I'll still lose old blood.

If I've learnt anything since my previous miscarriage, it is to think, 'today, I am pregnant' and literally take each day as it comes. You will worry, without a doubt. But healthy babies can be stubborn and give back as good as they get - they'll hang on in there is the conditions are right for them.

Stay positive xx

Confusedno yours could be implantation bleeding at that early stage the embryo might just be embedding in the wall.
Bellabash how long did your spotting go on for was it a day or two or was it longer than this?
It’s such a worry but that’s good advice you have given me. Thank you.

Hi,

I'm still spotting - almost 4 weeks after the main bleed.

Confusedno · 22/06/2018 08:37

Thank you for this I hope all goes well for you all,I know it’s still very early but never experienced is so was unsure.thankyou again x

I had spotting from week 5-8 brownish dishcharge, I wouldn't worry unless bleeding becomes more than spotting, but of course all you'll do is worry! Surprised that EPU said it's a cause for concern, is spotting red?
