Pretty much what the title says! I am 17 weeks today and my sickness has pretty much faded away for now but I also can't feel movement yet, I think I may have had flutters but not sure!

I'm just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? And if this feeling is normal? I have my 20 scan in 2.5 weeks but feeling so anxious!

Can't help but was really hoping "The Fear" would subside by 17 weeks. I am 11 weeks and nausea has hugely subsided. I have 12 week scan in 2 weeks and I'm so so nervous. Good luck, I'm sure everything is fine for you.

@sunflower18 I'm 17 weeks and feel exactly the same! I've not really had any proper symptoms (apart from intense hunger lol) the whole way through. Not got a bump yet either. But I had a private scan at the weekend and all was fine 😊 so I'd try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know!)

Thanks ladies! It's just such a nerve wracking time as the nausea has stopped but the movements haven't started yet so I feel like I'm in limbo waiting for the 20 week scan and movements! Fingers crossed everything ok! X

Same here! 18w, nausea mostly gone, but havent felt any movements yet! Have an anterior placenta so probably wont feel any movements till much later. Finding the wait between scan so hard!

Your scan won't be to much longer I imagine! I'm just so glad I'm not the only one thinking/feeling like this. Once the scan confirms everything is ok and the movements start I will be at ease!

I was the same as you.. felt nothing and had super flat belly. Scan at 21 weeks showed all was fine.
Had anterior placenta and didn’t feel movement until 27 weeks and my belly never really popped.
It’s very hard not to get anxious but actually what you are having is a great pregnancy! Try and verbally remind yourself ‘I am pregnant and all is fine’ daily.. get your mind into a positive place for you and the baby..
harder done then said, I know.

As bumble said.. there's a worrying lull between symptoms dropping off and movements starting. But once they've started it's a lovely feeling (although no, the Fear never goes, once they've started moving you are always worried that you haven't felt them move since [whatever time]) but it is less terrifying than the bit that goes before.

Been here.. I was fretting so much between 16 and 21 weeks until I started feeling movements. I was convinced she wasnt there, even at my 20w scan when I saw her with my own two eyes. It's really common to feel this way.

Now she kicks loads and my bump is obvious so I have no doubt shes there :)

I hated the bit between the scans - still too early to feel movement, but the other symptoms (aside from my evergrowing bump) had pretty much vanished. Hope you feel proper movement soon and your scan comes along quickly!

Sunflower2018 · 22/06/2018 13:40

Thanks ladies! It's reassuring that the majority feel this way! I just get so anxious due to previously having a MMC so had no warning signs and found out at the 12 week scan... hopefully movements will start soon... x
